Diana gives us everything she has! She sings with total honesty and sincerity, and that's why we believe her. She is a musical powerhouse! She does all her own arrangements and interpretations of the songs. And she is getting world-class vocal coaching, which means that she keeps getting even stronger. I don't think that anybody knows her limits, but I do know that I'm addicted to her! Dimash might be the sun, but Diana is the moon. (P.S. Igor doesn't play piano for just anybody... 😊)

This show was especially for disadvantaged children and young people and was co-initiated by Igor. This is Diana's final song on her first appearance in season two (2018), and she won. here she is 14 years old.
Yes, Igor Krutoy is very big in the Russian music scene. He's worth several billion USD and has his own foundation to support young artists. He bought Diana and her mom an apartment in Moscow so Diana could attend the premier music university in Russia. He wrote the music for Tomorrow Is A Lie (Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics).
If you like her stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14.
It is based on Russian folktales about a young betrothed orphan girl who has no parents to bless her wedding. She goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage.

Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning, her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
Context can be missing when being introduced to a new artist. But you might wish to revisit her from another show called the Showmaskgoon. There are several English songs she did but I seriously encourage you to react to her favorite performance called "Crow". So very different but 100% her. And speaking of context you should check out her English language wiki and find out how singing literally saved her life and taught her how to speak. Fascinating young woman.

A recent video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. It's a must see for anyone that loves singing with unending emotion. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Fastidious (or Finicky) Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life.
