The most horrifying twist in the story of Amadeus Arkham, the man who started the asylum in the first place in order to "treat" the killer who butchered his family, was that after all the electroshock, drugs, vivisection, and madness, we learned that he WASN'T just torturing his patient. ...He actually thought that he was helping them... And it does run in the family. Great work on this one!
I love how the tone slowly changes throughout the animatic. Jeremiah starts as a smart, slightly goofy guy who’s trying to control his own mental illness, and then slowly gets more and more unhinged and villainous as the story goes on.

Oh my gosh this was amazing, so intense! I liked really the ending part when inmates beating the glass and Arkham just walked. Also those black mask references!
God DAMN, I adore how you depict each of these characters and their descents into madness. I also love that you did one on Jerry Arkham, I feel like he’s a very underrated part of the Batman mythos overall. (Also I love the varying ways you portray Batman in these, and how it reflects the perspectives of the focus character)
I hope you don’t mind me commenting on everything haha THE WHOLE SEQUENCE WHERE HE IS RUNNING AND IT TURNS INTO A WALL AND THEN HE FALLS INTO THE ASLYUM? just god yes that was so gripping and intense! And the sequence after that makes it even BETTER

Well it is kind of a SPOILER to Arkham Reborn arc, but in this arc Jeremiah Arkham develops schizophrenia (???) from his patients, and he assumes identity of second Black Mask so he can torture them as a revenge for being uncooperative and bullying him. He isnt fully aware that he has this second identity and it was made due to Hugo Strange and Joker drugging him. In my own timeline, things go slightly different, and I will try to tell it in my own time.

Love the nods to Arkham taking on the mantle of the Black Mask at the end. Makes me wonder what the Sionis version is like.
