When you burnt the edges of the paper it reminded me of my late mom. When I was little she played around with decoupage trays which were black metal, and would find vintage pictures, burn the edges of the cut outs which were in the shapes of your pieces, glued them in the tray and stuck it in the oven to bake. Her trays always came out great. I don’t remember how long they were baked. I never thought I’d ever see anyone else cut out shapes, singe the edges to give an aged look. Thanks for the memory.

A couple months back I took some old cardboard boxes, cut a couple up and made a display case that I could put some of my pieces in and it’s still holding. Who knows what I can make with my tiny supply of corrugated cardboard I used to hate. Now I know what to do with them. Thanks for a wonderful video. Your stuff was fantastic to see.

Great gift ideas! Thank you for sharing! I am making this today. Got the vase made now doing the burning. hubby is helping! he's tearing the paper for me, I burn it and glue it in with mod podge. It is lookin' great! I'll keep ya posted! I'll be crocheting hemp rope instead of using the rolled up paper. Update: I wish there was a way to show pictures here! The vase turned out gorgeous!!! I used twine (instead of hemp rope) on each of the edges. and one around the bottom. I love it!!!
