    How do you put the offset around boxes or other elements? Can that be the next video? I use a silhouette for my cutting

    • @TheEnchantedPlanner
      @TheEnchantedPlanner  Год назад

      If it's just boxes, as long as the image is a PNG, the machine will recognize the borders and cut around it. At least, that's how it works in Cricut Design Space. I would assume it's the same in Silhouette. If I'm adding other elements to boxes, such as flowers, I create the offset in Procreate.
      It can be done within Design Space as well but yes... that is one of the videos on the list. I just need to figure out the format. 💜

      Hey Penny! It's a pleasure to formally meet you. I'm glad you came out of lurking.. 😍
      I create my offsets in Procreate because I want to be able to sell the files. Design Space doesn't allow us to download our files. (At least not as far I have been able to find)
      However, the offset can be manipulated in Design Space. I will play around with it and make sure I cover it in an upcoming tutorial.

    You're a great teacher! I have 1 question. Do you have to print it out on your printer first and then feed it into the cricut and once you do that you just download the canva instructions. I really know nothing at this point. Thanks so much for posting this. I can't wait until you do one for cricut. I think you need to make your own sticker book. ✌️❤️🌞

    • @TheEnchantedPlanner
      @TheEnchantedPlanner  Год назад +1

      Hey Jade! Thanks.. I'm so glad you found it easy to follow.
      Once you've uploaded the image file into cricut and added it to the cricut canvas, there is an option to print it right within Design Space and then, you feed it back into the cricut machine to do the cut. I have a few of these planned, so yes, there will be one on how we take the design and put it into cricut.
      I looked at making a sticker book but because everything bills in USD... it was kinda brutal. Figure I will build my enchanted empire (hehe) with etsy and then, head into physical sticker books.
      Don't hesitate if you have any more questions. I'm bound and determined to get everyone using a cricut. 🤣

    Loved this video. Does your printer print with a border or borderless? I have an Epson ET-2400 and it seems to shrink the images and makes my boxes smaller than what I set for print and cut due to not being able to print borderless.

    • @TheEnchantedPlanner
      @TheEnchantedPlanner  Год назад +1

      Hmm... are you using DS to print and cut? Or are you printing out PDF's to cut yourself?
      If it's a PDF.. make sure the setting is set to "actual size"
      If it's an image file in DS... I would have to do a bit of research but you should be able to turn off the border in your printer settings.
      K.. I popped onto google... lol It looks like you can select borderless printing with that printer. I found a couple of things to reference.

      @@TheEnchantedPlanner I opened up Canva, started a new project sized at 8.5 x 11. I want to cut and print in Design Space.
      I measured the size box I needed for my particular planner, and made it that size. I duplicated it ending up with 12 boxes.
      The width @ 1.5 inches was fine, but they were a little too tall because I measured to place 3 of these boxes on top each other vertical. They were a little too big vertically.
      Should I lower the border to under 8? Does the added border add to the end size?

      okay...gotcha.
      The size in canva needs to be 6.75 x9.25 in order to print and cut in Design Space. So, that might be part of the trouble.
      Box height will not be affected by the border width. I would possibly guess you've got the height sized slightly larger that thhe 2.5 in long.
      If you drag the bottom right back to 2.4 in then, slowly pull it down until it reaches 2.5in.
      I have done the same and had the height closer to 2.6 instead of 2.5.
      Just in case-- You won't need to offset it at all in Design Space. You can import, print and cut. The machine will recognize there is a solid border.
      Let me know if this solves the problem. If not, we'll get it figured out for ya.

      You're welcome Donna. Hopefully, that fixes the problem but if not, I'm only ever a comment or an email away. 😊
