I shop at both Honolulu locations whenever I visit. It's a great place to find swimwear, beach gear, rashers, boards shorts, wraps and more! Also look for bargains on Hawaiian Spirulina - I usually take home 2-3 big bottles. Thanks for doing this walk through 😊🤙
Chris, many thanks for making this video. I am visiting Oahu for the first time in March 2025 and now I know where to buy Hawaiian snacks and souvenirs to bring home with me.🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
You might also want to try any Walmart in Hawaii; their Hawaii souvenir section is pretty extensive and quite inexpensive, too. Whatever local goodies you can find in Waikiki and other touristy parts of Hawaii you can find cheaper a little further outside of these areas. Have fun!
Love Costco in Hawaii! I've been to the Kapolei, one near Ko'Olina, and the one on Maui - super convenient as you leave the airport 😊. Thanks for showing this one in Honolulu Chris!
I thought the Maui Costco was big… They’re both definitely larger than the usual mainland locations, though. Always fascinating to see the difference in the Hawaiian locations and their offerings…
This is the closest Costco to me (3 miles) but with the never ending roadwork for the rail project I try to avoid it if possible. Also the other stores outside of town have cheaper gas. I find it hard to believe that this is the busiest store as I have been to many stores on the mainland where I feel that they are even busier such as the ones in the Seattle area. Even the Maui store appears to be busier.
he's right according to the internet. the internet uses store sales $ and not volume of shoppers. the one store in tokyo is a close second on sales but the costco's in japan are way way way busier than the hnl store or any i've been to on the usa mainland. I'm talking so packed that its hard to even navigate the basket because the isles are so packed. They just don't buy as much stuff per shopper that the hnl people do.
a big reason why its popular is because supermarket stuff is so expensive in Hawaii. Costco at least provides prices closer to what people in other states pay.
The BBQ Hawaiian kettle chips are good, I bought some from CVS around the corner from my house earlier this year. They're sold on the mainland. Wonder if they sale King's Hawaiian Rolls which are Island -ish by way of Lomita-Torrance , Ca in L.A.' s South Bay 😊Haven't seen any sample demonstrators yet. My mom did that for a couple of months in 2009 at the Costco in Torrance, but it was too much on her nurse's back ( meaning standing for several hours a day aggravated her lower back and and caused her to feel even more pain that was excerbated by years of her being a CNA). I bet in some cases, the bulk seafood is sold for slightly different reasons in Costcos on the Mainland than on the Islands , especially this time of year with people on the mainland making gumbo amd Jambalaya for Christmas and New Years.
This is awesome. I actually work at that location. It is a crazy store but it looks dead when you went. Lucky for you hahaha. I see some of my coworkers too, you must’ve gone on a Friday. Recently. Thanks for the content!
Hi Chris. Thanks for visiting our Costco and doing a great job. Hope it didn't take you ling to find a parking spot. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones and take care.
I frequent this Costco 2-3 times a week for my business. Avoid peak time. Parking sucks, line for register sucks, unorganized line for self check out line sucks, line to show receipt to leave the store sucks, leaving the parking lot sucks. Gas line sucks. Food court line sucks. 😆 You would think, just go to another Costco right? Hawaii Kai Costco is not only far from where I am, it’s a lot smaller and doesn’t carry a lot of bulk items like 50# bakers flour/sugar, etc. Waipio carries almost everything like this town one but it’s just as busy. Kapolei is way too far (25mi away) and busy there as well. Awesome you got to stop by though. Welcome to our island! Traffic sucks, but that’s the cost of living in the manhattan of Hawaii 😅
I think that at this Costco, more money is spent per capita, that's why it's considered the "busiest" store. The parking lot is a nightmare......unless you go very early before they open to snag a stall.
We always buy the Ohana brown rice. The grains have been scarified so it cooks like white rice. By the way, I just came back from Japan and stayed at your recommended hotel, Century Southern Tower. Great hotel. Spacious rooms, convenient location and a good breakfast buffet. Cost twice as much as my hotel in Yokohama.

My pleasure! And thanks for your shopping tips!
WWW gameplay 👏👏👏 big PP moves 👍
What do you mean by both locations? There are 4 on Oahu.
@ Oops, I meant both locations in Honolulu. I edited my comment.
Yay, first day of Vlogmas!!!
Happy Thanksgiving! Love all of your Oahu and Vegas content, can’t get enough of it!
Thanks Chris!
This was real fascinating to me, I really enjoyed coming along on your Costco trip😊
Awesome Brenda!

I was going to say the same thing! We live by Pearl Harbor and drive to Hawaii Kai Costco.
I love Hawaii Kai anything lol
I’ve stocked up on the one in Maui before, that’s pretty big too.
GREAT JOB, CHRIS.........Enjoy your thanksgiving!
Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Awesome to see you in Hawaii on Oahu! Would have been nice to run into you. Yes, that Costco is always crazy busy.
Yeah, it's a zoo in there! 😀
What time of the week are you at costco? Not that busy like most of the time. This was the thanksgiving week (should be people all over you).
I am a big fan of this channel and live, work, and shop at this Costco. Wish I ran into Chris and say hi.
Why didn't you say 'hi' back to the lady, at 9:11?
Chris, your Hawaiian is nearly flawless! 🤙🏼
Mahalo! 🌺
Thank you working on your holiday.

Agreed!
Rôtisserie chicken 🍗 woooooooow 5 bucks I need some right away okaaaaaayyyy 👍🏼😜
Thanks Chris, wow the snacks look so good!
I know right, they are all so tempting!
@ yes, I’d be in trouble, trying to fit all the snacks into my suitcase, lol! Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving!
Honolulu Cookie Company anything is my favorite! 😊

Great video Chris 💯 Love this Cosco! I wish I could shop there 😂 In the meantime, I'll shop in Quebec Canada 🇨🇦👋👋🙋🏼

It was fun to see compare the prices against my local California store
Great video thanks
My pleasure Jonathan!

Very cool Benny!
Aloha…
We love your channel!!!!
Too bad we didn’t run into you to say Aloha
Thanks so much Puaspapa! 😉
Great video and Happy Thanksgiving! Costco in Japan is very interesting too.
Thanks! I haven't been to a Costco in Japan. Will need to check one out!
I wish I shopped at Costco when it was this empty! What time is this??
Hate that Costco.😂 Tip: go just around opening time and park near the back exit/entrance. Long walk, but easy escape when leaving.
Thanks for parking tip!
I go during almost closing time. Plenty of parking and when I leave, easy to exit out because most people already left.
@@couz96797 about 1/2 hour before close many registers open to move everyone out.
Did you see the harvest right freeze drier?
What's different about Hawaiin style carmel corn?
What time of day did you go. Not crowded compared to Texas. Going to Maui soon so I will definitely go to Costco.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! 💛💛💛
Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Love going to Costco in Hawaii. Lihue Costco has cuttlefish chips and other interesting food items.
Mmmm
REALLY ENJOYED this walkabout! I always forget to go to Costco when im in Oahu. Is Costco in Oahu lower priced than the Honolulu Walmart?
Yeah. I think prices here are better than Walmart
@YellowProductions THANKS Chris
Hi Chris. Thanks for visiting our Costco and doing a great job. Hope it didn't take you ling to find a parking spot. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones and take care.
I've learned to either get there close to opening or close to closing time 😀

Kapolei Costco is the Best on island. West Side🤙🤙🤙
Do they have Chaminade shirts? My sister went there.
Hmm. I didn't see any. But I didn't look thru the whole clothing section
Hawaii Costco also sells Ube ice cream
Mmm

When did you go on this trip? What airline did you fly and did you buy the tickets? If so, what did you pay?
Recently.. United. About $500 round trip from LAX

Hawaii is so expensive dude 🙀🙀how are the prices compared to California ???
Very cool 😎 😊
Best Costco w/Asian foods in the states. Not even close.
Busier than Costco Surrey in British Columbia?
I don’t know… the Costco in San Diego I’ve shopped at seems way more packed than this one every day 4605 Morena Blvd
San Diego, CA 92117
United States
Awfully looks similar to mauis one
That costco looks very rundown ,dirty , the lighting is dim and has a smell compared to the other costco around the island
Lots of booze and processed foods, yum, yum!!!
Busiest? lol come to any Costco store in Mexico
WORST COSTCO EVER..... THEY NEED TO HOOK US UP WITH A CHANGE.... FOOD COURT, INVENTORY.....
wrong. this is empty relative to the costco in china. i love your travel videos but come on you should know better
