I'm indigenous to Canada, I'm part of the cree tribe, and when i heard you say Canada i was so happy! There are so many parts of Canada that are so beautiful, even just for a visit! We do have extreme weather here, not as extreme as Svalbard, but the winters are long, the summer days are gorgeous, our fall and spring seasons are very short 😅 But i think if you came for a visit, you would love it. Yellowknife or the Yukon may be the most similar to Svalbard. Also, Newfoundland is almost like a different country, even though its just a seperate province, but the landscape is very similar to Ireland.
I live in boring, way too expensive and politically corrupt Ontario. I would love to live in the Yukon but my children and grandbabies live close to me! I couldn't live far away from them!
I think the Rockies are a must-see. There's nothing quite like driving the Icefields parkway, or Kananaskis country, Jasper, Banff. Lots of places to see in Canada. I hope they come here and vlog it.

@@16dya is it a simple question if that person just had a miscarriage of a very wanted child? Or is it a simple question is someone has been trying for years and can’t? Is it a simple question if in vitro has failed for them and they’re out money and a possible pregnancy? Or is it then unknowingly rubbing salt in a heinous wound. You never know what someone is going through with their fertility and thus it is not a simple question.

I disagree. In this context, it’s obvious that they’re only going to respond to questions that they’re comfortable answering. So they could have simply tossed it. Instead they made it the header for the thumbnail.
That's fantastic that Christoffer could quit his job, you two have become such a team that it makes complete sense. I can't wait to see how your channel grows as a result. Today I told my colleagues that I have a friend who lives in Svalbard. Brave .... but I feel like a friend !!!! Happy Holidays, I wish you happiness and love !!! Greetings from Sofia, Bulgaria❤❤❤
Kids or not is individual choice. But never forget you changed your parent's life. And that you're here because you did . A kid in the snow would be great. Defenitely. Viking or strong snowwoman.
I think it’s wonderful that you two are working together. Like you said, you can go on many more adventures which means much more content for us!! Once restrictions lift a bit, I’d love to see vlogs of you guys traveling!
Oh my god the snowmobile carriage for Grimm! I love it! I live in the Northeast of the US have snowmobiled since I was a little kid. I would love to go on Svalbard!!!
I grew up eating lutefisk and lefse for Christmas dinner (American descended from Norwegian immigrants; my great great grandparents immigrated from near Trondheim). Lutefisk is ok, but I love (and still make) lefse.
Merry Christmas from Canada Cecilia and Christoffer!!! I think you guys would love to come visit Canada! We have so many different landscapes. If you do come, plan to take a good amount of time exploring the different provinces and territories because there is A LOT to see! I know exactly where you are coming from with children. I'm suddenly 36 and thought "do we want any, really?". We like our lifestyle and it would drastically change if we have a child. I had a very in depth conversation with my mom about it and she had told me: it is a decision. You have to decide that you want children and all the things that come with that decision. We are very happy with our cats and living situation. Maybe one day in the future, if the opportunity presents itself, and we are wanting to, we could adopt or foster a child. But for now, we are happy as we are! And honesty counts a million times over!
You are lucky that you live in a country (as most countries in the world) that has a national health care for all so that you're not tied to an employer for health care and can pursue your passions. The US is so sadly far behind the rest of the world on that.

I have just subscribed to your channel Cecilia and I’m catching up on all your videos. I’m following from Australia. I know this video is from 2 years ago but not a lot has changed in the dynamics between you doing almost all the talking even when Christopher should be answering, when the questions relate to him. When he does start talking, you jump in and take over. Let him have his own voice. Sometimes talking less is a show of respect. Take this as constructive criticism because Christopher has given his whole self and life to you and your channel.
Let Christoffer know that I and others who watch this enjoy when he speaks. I have affection for your small family. Excited that you and he will work together. Your channel is superior in its production level and life on Svalbard seems contented yet exciting as well. Excited for you, Christoffer and Grim. I will join your Patreon. Yeah!! Canada is amazing! Come here. Swedish people have been in Canada since the mid 1800s. “noted Canadians of Swedish descent include broadcaster Pamela Wallin, Judge Tom Berger who headed the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline inquiry, architect Arthur Erickson who designed Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto and the Canadian Embassy in Washington, and Ralph Gustafson who won the Governor General's Award for poetry in 1974”. and my electrician is Swedish! :-)
As a Canadian, I say your decision to live in Canada if you couldn't stay in Norway is an excellent one!
I also thought of Newfoundland for them. Having been on Svalbard, they will appreciate the island culture.
I am Canadian, my daughter lives in NU but she above tree line about 200 miles from north pole on Canadian side ... her job took her there... is the best way to adventure here otherwise the cost is high....She also had a baby 2 years ago and now she is 40 and so happy and she was considered high risk because of her age but she was flown out to Ottawa for best care... She is so happy
Loved your answer on the "start a family" question. Honest and practical.
Agreed. It is a delicate question to ask anyone. Especially someone you only know by the internet.
@@KatWrangler exactly! i came here to say that. it takes a lot audacity to ask such a question to anyone
@@16dya in all truths it’s nobody’s business! 👍 It’s such a personal question. I have never even asked my best friends that because I know the struggles many couples have trying to start a family of their own. It’s just not a very respectful question to ask. Yes, you may get that question from your own mother/father but that’s different. 😉
@@16dya it seems you are much more offended by my words, than i am offended by this question:)) im married for 8 years, i got this question sooo many times from so many people that you can only imagine. but for me it is a really private family matter to have children or not; think about that maybe they are trying to have one but failing or they have lost a child already? in those cases this question may hurt someone really bad. i love snowflakes btw
This is such a great decision to work as a team, to be on the same schedule and more flexible to enjoy your life. Congratulations on that! Greetings from Latvia!
I just love your views on simple life and living it without stress as much as possible, even without kids. I'm almost 30 and it stresses me out when someone is asking me about having a family.. and I just want to have a fulfilled and peaceful life.. to live the life that I, as a person want - traveling and experiencing the beauty of this planet Earth. Thank you guys
The first person who has a pet and said a pet changed their lifestyle just like a kid would. Love!!
Your creations are so comforting 💕 ESPECIALLY the cozy winter content. The doggo, the wood stoves, and the cozy sweaters are the absolute best✨
My in-laws are Norwegian and we live in North Dakota, US. We eat lefsa and lutefisk every year for the holidays. 🇳🇴
Christoffer is so chill.
I am here in Canada. PLEASE COME! We would be very lucky to have you! Proud to have you! Easy to do!
Happy Holidays Cecillia, Christoffer, and Grim! Canada would welcome all 3 of you here in our Country anytime you want to come.
Agreed!!!! Merry Christmas from beautiful British Columbia
I'm Canadian and we would welcome you with open arms! You could pick the climate that suits you from hot summers/not-so-cold winters to Svalbard-like weather and from urban life to desolation and from flat land to mountainous and any mix. Cities are expensive but small towns are not so much.
Yasss! Now Christoffer can make more cooking content for us!!! Or take us on fishing trips and snowmobile rides!!! I love your lil family 😍
7:55 Difficult is an understatement. I was born & raised in the states.
I was fortunate enough to live in Iceland for two plus years. Such great memories! Thanks Cecilia, and Christoffer too. Merry Christmas to you all! Cuddles to Grim. 🎄
Christoffer is so chill and you are so chatty and enthusiastic. I love the dynamic between you both 😊
I will agree kid changes your life. I am sorry that so many are intrusive with that question. I am bless to have two kids.
YES, come to Canada!! You would love the Yukon! It's unreal, and much less touristy than other places. Plus we have a mini desert!! But there are so many incredible places in Canada. The west coast is absolutely beautiful, Newfoundland has some of the nicest people on this planet, and there are parts of Ontario in the fall that will blow your mind.
You two are living the life! So lucky. Congrats on forming your own business and doing it together.
Love the genuine laugh Christoffer gives at 16:25 about Grim!
I love how your personalities complement each other. Cecilia is so energetic while Christoffer has this cool vibe. Would love to see a cooking session with Christoffer in one of your vlogs.
Grim’s carriage is SO COOL
Congratulations on Christoffers big move to leave his job to work with you. So exciting! Glad to be seeing more of you together
I’m Irish and I never noticed the your slight Irish accent until now!! Now it’s so noticeable! 💚
It's just after 5am thursday in nz and I just want to say I watch every single video of yours and love your content so much. Cristoffer is very calming. You compliment each other so well. Merry Xmas to you all
The way you answered the question about Pride brought tears to my eyes, thank you for being such an aware ally ❤
Nice to “have a chat” with you both.
All great questions other than the “starting a family” question. I will never understand why and how some ppl ask such intrusive personal questions of others.
right? I can't imagine asking anyone that question, but I suppose it's because I find that question intrusive, even from people i know well!
Same here. Too personal.
I was shocked that someone asked that question!
Yes! Every person with a uterus on RUclips is hounded by that question... so not ok.
I hope you consider him doing a regular cooking/baking segment, the two of you in the kitchen is the best ever! Christoffer with his chill knowledge and experience and Cecilia asking the questions that all of us have whenever we try making something new, hahaha!!
I love it. He's so quiet. Cecelia you are an amazing entrepreneur! best wishes for you both.
I am from Canada born and raised. It's an amazing country to visit but to live is a totally different experience. Shout from New Brunswick Canada
This is fabulous! I've always wanted more Christoffer -- he has such a steady, solid, and genuine appeal. You are a lovely couple and your videos are a pleasure to watch. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and I'm so looking forward to your future work. PS Kisses to Grim.
I am a Swede who has been in Canada since 1952. Come on over. You can also have a bit of Iceland in Gimli, MB
Also.. sorry.. but can I just say it makes me really happy when vloggers put the time stamps in the description! as it means we can look at the bits we really want to immediately! Although, I am going to watch the whole thing properly very soon, over Christmas my husband and I are going to be having a marathon catch up session of your vlogs that we have missed recently due to being busy with Christmas preparations! I hope you both have a very happy Christmas, love from England 🥰
I think that's awesome 😎. I worked while my husband built a 42' sailboat. It surely paid off, after years later we sold it, bought a house, then later sold the house and traveled the world. Enjoy your life! I had my son at age 40. Still had enough $ from the sale of our 1st house to buy another and be a stay-at-home mom.
Your Irish accent pops out occasionally it's lovely 💚mostly it's not American the rest is mild Swedish it's very pretty 🤗
I am from Ukraine, but I live on Haida Gwaii island in Canada. It's beautiful here. Some of the island stuff is so relatable btw.
I love watching your videos 💫All the best
Congratulations and I am so very Happy for you 3, especially grim! We get to see Chris full-time, yayyyyy! You guys are awesome!
Hehehe I love how Cecelia framed THE armed robbery... "It was very shocking, but... it was more a cry for help" I hope whoever that was they got their help they needed, I can imagne it was quite the talk of the town!
After becoming a subscriber & binge-watching all your videos recently, I just want to say that I love your channel! Your positive attitude & appreciation of your surroundings is so refreshing and appreciated! And congratulations to Christoffer and you, that you are now able to work together!😃
We welcome you to Canada anytime you are ready! :)
It’s my dream to live on Svalbard someday. I enjoy the colder seasons a lot more than the warm and I’m so happy I get to live vicariously through your channel. Love the cozy feeling of your videos 😌 much love from the U.S. ❤️
Today I told my colleagues that I have a friend who lives in Svalbard. Brave .... but I feel like a friend !!!! Happy Holidays, I wish you happiness and love !!! Greetings from Sofia, Bulgaria❤❤❤
Awww I’m sooo exciting for you guys work together, make your travels easier and create your own schedule! 💜
Kids or not is individual choice. But never forget you changed your parent's life. And that you're here because you did . A kid in the snow would be great. Defenitely. Viking or strong snowwoman.
You both are the best!!! Enjoy your lives together and just see where life takes you!
Love all your videos but the videos with extra Christoffer are especially nice. He is so calm and wise. He feels like an older brother to me.
Yep! Minnesotan here, lutefisk is gross but lefse is necessary!
Lefse is a must at Christmas! I live in north central Saskatchewan, Canada and there is so much beauty that you would enjoy!
Y'all could go to Lapland, Finland, (it's located within the Arctic Circle), and it's extremely cold over there
Merry Christmas from Canada Cecilia and Christoffer!!!
Wonderful to be self-employed! Best wishes.
Christoffer is so laid back. You both suit each other so well. Best wishes for 2022 from the UK.
You are lucky that you live in a country (as most countries in the world) that has a national health care for all so that you're not tied to an employer for health care and can pursue your passions. The US is so sadly far behind the rest of the world on that.
You Cecilia are the energy of the channel, but Christopher is the one who is quiet, calm, and composed. He looks so gentle and good. You are truly blessed, so is Grim! I love the three of you.
Good for you!! Life is short...Live your best life!!!! 💕💕💕
Always worth taking the chance to have your loved one around as much as possible. You and christoffer will be a great team at growing your channel. Now christoffer has more incentive than ever to help you achieve your goals with youtube. Christoffer might need to wear a mic he's very soft spoken haha
God Bless you both and Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄. I wish people would leave the starting family question alone. Not everyone wants a family.. I love that you both work together ❤️ ❤️ ❤️. We Love Christoffer in these videos. Love from a fellow half Swedish
Christoffer seems so chill and easy going. He just kinda goes along with whatever she says.
Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer n Grimm for allowing us to experience your magical and very challenging life styles. You're both doing great, and I am looking forward to seeing what's up ahead for Everyone. Good Luck with your new projects, and Grimm is loved ❤ by many, especially You and Christoffer. Merry Christmas!! 🎅 🤶 🧑🎄
Only good things for your new working relationship together. It will change your dynamic as a couple, but I think you communicate well enough with each other to manage it. Grim says he did not ask for a Fenris visit for Christmas! 😁
Grim’s behavior with Fenris really makes me laugh. I know exactly how he feels. Siblings need to be kept in their proper place. 😁
Merry Christmas 🎄! 🎆Happy New Year! 🥂
This.....
Christoffer is so quiet and calm. You compliment each other perfectly ❤️
As a Canadian, I say your decision to live in Canada if you couldn't stay in Norway is an excellent one! We have the best of all worlds: access to all the modern conveniences if American life, combined with more of a Western European mentality regarding having more of a social conscience than Americans generally do.
Thank you, Cecilia and Christoffer! Merry Christmas to you!
