*Update:* It's now been about 5 months since this video, and I am just now needing to replace the batteries on the battery powered sharpener. I use it fairly regularly. In my opinion, the battery life is great, and you should only need to replace the batteries about once a year. Twice, if you're really using it a ton. The batteries aren't even completely dead at this point, it's more that it's louder now, and is working harder to sharpen. So, new battery time!

Your comment that the first one was a tight fit made me wonder if it wanted to hold the pencil so it could stop when done. Like insert pencil, let go, hit go.

I am just wondering if the small sharpener scratches the pencils or not. 🤔 I previously had a sharpener similar to that and it scratched all my pencils. 😶

It worked great! Sometimes if a sharpener isn’t sharpening correctly, or seems to be chewing the wood, that just means the blade is dull.
