I like the way you get straight to the point, so many of these content creators want to tell us about their cat or what kind of milk they put in their coffee or something, you just get straight to the point.,,,,Which is why we are here bro!
Gary, you are a great teacher.I watched all 54 videos in the iMovie playlist on RUclips. I am looking forward to making my 1st move in iMovie. Thanks so much for your very clear instructions.
Thanks to you, and the enormous time we have with the BUG and the confinement, I was able to do my first film following many of your excellent videos. Your instructions are always clear and concise . I had numerous clips that I organized in a dynamic way using here and there Keynote (learned thanks to you also) a lot of different music etc etc. I cannot thank you enough. Keep up the good work.
Gary, this is so much better than the few videos I watched on the same subject. I always have some difficulty fully grasping and taking advantage of using this precision editor but it is so important in some of the situations where I have transitions and I must be more precise to set when the clip goes out and the other comes otherwise the cut would be sort of abrupt or contains a few micro seconds of speech in the outgoing clip which I don't need. Anyway, after watching this video, I hope I will get better at it. Thanks again Gary!
Thanks. Useful information- particularly the use of key strokes to finesse the final edit. But the landscape imagery was a poor choice. Having an A/B reel of someone kicking a ball would have shown why this function is useful.
This is an older video, but still very relevant. I want to start giving the precision editor a try on my work. Thanks for you explanation on this powerful tool in iMovie. Enjoy the journey - cheers
We have been making youtube videos for two years and are finally learning how to use the precision editor! Funny thing is that we have learned ways to do a lot of the tricks the hard way...and didn't even know that some of them were the actual purpose of the precision editor:)
Good video! I've encountered a glitch. Maybe you can solve this. I put a few titles (one after another) over a video, for example using the styles "expand" and "line." When I play it, a shadow of one of the titles appears for a split second before the correct title appears. Even after I delete the culprit, it still re-appears. Ever see this problem?
Hello sir! I'm hoping you can help me. I'm currently trying to edit a very simple video. I used to be able to edit portions out of clips by clicking and dragging so that the portion I want to delete is in a yellow box (I hope I'm making sense). Lately when I try to do this, it moves the entire clip around. I have to restart my computer for it to work the way it used to, and even then sometimes in the middle of my editing, it happens again. It's starting to get frustrating and I have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I recently made a video and my elbow got in the way of the shoot. If you could show us constructive ways of removing "video mistakes", using iMovie, then that would be great! I wanted to keep the audio track, which was fine, but the video portion was horrid in a few spots and needed to be removed somehow. I just ended up putting Titles over the mistakes, apologizing.
This tutorial is great. I am having to learn iMovie and Mac at the same time for a deadline. This has been sooo helpful. But the precision editor doesn’t look in my window like it looks in yours. So I can’t get the title and audio lined up. I see you don’t reply here so I’m talking to myself but ugh I just am so frustrated. But I didn’t subscribe. Great training on other videos but this precision editor doesn’t match 😕
Gary, I can't tell you how many times I refer back to this video! It's so very helpful. Thanks!
Your videos are all so incredibly helpful. Thanks, Gary.
Great tip Gary. Thanks
Super handy - thanks
Love your instructions! I would have liked to hear and see the results of your edits at the end.

Thanks for this, whenever I accidentally opened this in the past I would immediately close it because I had no idea how to use it.
Same

Thanks for the teaching lesson 😊
Live and learn. Thank you Gary
Very valuable and quick video! Extremely useful and explained well! I loved it!
This is great. I've been detaching my audio to overlap, but this is so much better. Thanks for another great video.
We were doing the same thing!
Thanks for the upload great videos. but it would've been extra helpful to show some before and after
So cool. Thank you! So important!

Thank you a lot
I’ve been wanting to learn precision editor on iMovie for a long time. Great video tutorial. Thanks.

Very helpful. I hadn't used the precision editor yet.

This will come in very handy, thank you!
Very cool, been struggling with precision and sometimes going over to Adobe Premiere just for a few minutes of a much longer movie. Well done.
Very helpful.
Great video! I use iMovies most of the times to edit my videos.
Another great tutorial. 👍
Really good presentation!
Very useful! Thanks!
Thank you, sir. I love iMovie but I would love to know why in the timeline the editing line never matches up with what I see in the viewer.
Epic! Thank you. 🙏🏽🗝
Thank you, how you do zoom in and out the window when you show us?
god bless you
THANK YOU SSSSSOOOOOO MUCH SIR!!!!!!!!
thanks
The subtitles you show are covering up what you are trying to demonstrate.

Does it happen if you quit and restart iMovie? Does it appear on the video when you export?
@@macmost Yes that seems to solve it - thanks.

الله يرحم والدينك ويجزيك خير
I still don't get/understand the percision editor's use..?
Guys, don't forget to subscribe, like, and share the dream, and don't forget to comment on your favorite section.

I reply here all the time. Can't help everyone, but I try. Which version of iMovie are you using? Perhaps yours looks different because it is older?
macmostvideo oh thanks for the reply! I am wondering the same. I will check.
macmostvideo and btw- I made a typo in my original post. I DID subscribe to your channel. Thanks again
Very helpful, thank you!
