I know, right. I tell buyers, once I send that package to the post office, it's out of my hands. It's not like I'm hand delivering the item. Why they leave us N feedback or get angry at us is beyond me. I've been having problems, too
I really think that some buyers don’t fully understand the shipping process, which leads to us taking all the blame. But eBay could at least step in and fix this.
Wow!! You're doing so awesome with sales, way to go!! The music buy really has paid off! I've had a few packages slow to be delivered, but I message my buyers when there is a delay to get ahead of it, and they've been understanding and have all always given me 5 stars (Mercari) and have even mentioned appreciating the communication. Not everyone has time to do that, but so far it has worked out for me! Liked and shared, thanks for sharing!
It’s definitely a good practice to maintain the line of communication as much as possible. And yes, that music buy is killing it for sure!! Thanks as always for watching and supporting the channel!!😊
I have been having this same trouble here in Orangeburg, SC Shipping all over the country until a few weeks back. Thanks for Making this video letting people know so i don't have to.
I sell about 200 items a month, and I've also had similar problems over the last couple years. The post office delivering late is pretty common I would say several items each month are late, at least 2-3 are very late, like more than a week past expected delivery. Most of these problems are in our regional distribution center (Kansas City area). I especially had problems with Priority service, every single Priorty package I sent this year (only a few) was delayed, so I quit using the service. My local people are great and very helpful, but the sorting centers are a nightmare. I was also having a lot of trouble with mis-deliveries last year. That has gotten better, but I just had a new one pop up today, so they are still having issues.
I’m glad to know my sorting facility isn’t the only one with issues sometimes!! lol!! I guess it’s all a part of doing business at the end of the day. Just gotta roll with it!! 😁 Thanks so much for watching!!
I had a package that was shipping from Texas to California. Buyer paid 05/10 and it delivered 05/13. I had another package also going to California. Buyer paid 05/08 and it arrived 05/21. Both packages were shipped on the day they were ordered. The long delivery package got stuck in my post office for almost a week. It finally appeared in a processing center, left there and no update between 14th and when it was out for delivery on the 21st. It left Texas and had no other updates scans between there and out for delivery. I stayed in contact with the buyer and actually got a positive review. It seems ludicrous that eBay will allow a negative review due to a postal situation. If you get it shipped out and scanned in there is nothing else you can do.
Same thing going has happened to me. Good thing is, more buyers than not seem to be understanding!! But like you, don’t think eBay should allow negative feedback based on delivery time to stand if we did our part correctly!
actually got a usps refund on a priority flat rate package.. im not sure how that happened but usps refunded 1.90 back to my account. I always round up measurements as ive seen many wondering why they got hit with an underpaid charge., its possible that a package gets flagged as its being processed and ends up in another bin to reprocess or kicked back from one hub to the originating hub. I haven't had any issues shipping out of Greenville SC which is the main processing/ sorting hub for my area but there was a time not long ago when there where many issues with this processing center, they seem to have resolved whatever the issue was. All we can do is make absolutely sure we are eliminating and possible error , human or robotic.
Glad your sorting facility is running smoothly!! Any refund from usps is a blessing!! Lol!! You could definitely be on to something about the packages pulled for underpayment getting delayed. I never thought of that. However, like you, I am really careful and always round up.
I keep around 900-1,000 right now and with everything else I have going on, that’s not changing much. My vision, however, is to operate at 2500-3000 items as long as it’s good inventory with good sell through rates. But I would rather have a small store with fast moving inventory, than a large store with items sitting forever.
That said, if I could find enough higher value inventory with great sell through rates, I would love to operate at 500-700 items. I just don’t know that it’s possible in my area. I have to rely a lot on bread and butter items.

@@BamaJaybirdResell thanks for hanging out with us 😊
I have bought maybe 20 items from eBay during the last ten years. USPS is the reason.
I totally understand! Thanks for watching!!
I've not had any issues yet with USPS. Sorry to hear about those issues.
That’s great!! Hopefully your good fortune will continue!!

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully it won’t continue for long. I expect an issue once in a while but the volume has been disturbing.
This is my first time watching your videos. Bella The Resella sent me to you. I live in Alabama too. I live in North Bama around the Huntsville Area.

How many items do you have in your store, and are you trying to grow it or stay around a certain number of items?
