Praying for my son who hasn't spoken to me for over a year. It really hurts . He is 31 years but for a mother our children are still our kids and it really hurts.

I am going through the loss of my Adult daughter and her husband and them not allowing me to see my children. Prior to this sudden abandonment, I had watched my special needs grandson every weekday, and evening babysitting, Monday through Friday since his birth. I took him to special schools everyday, doctor appointments and physical and speech therapy for six years. This precious child was hurt by my not being in his life and then his parents lied to him saying I did not want to come anymore see him anymore. This precious tender boy with special needs was so hurt when he was told by his parents that I only been came and watched him; because it was my job. I was never paid a cent. I retired early to watch this precious first grandchild. A year and a half later this continue. We live five minutes apart. I cannot get past the grief. I have never found the reason. I babysat one evening for my grandsons while my daughter and her husband went on “date night.” The next day there was no contact at all and has not been.

Thank you so much for this message. I am currently going through this situation with my beautiful daughter. I believe it's an epidemic. The loss, shame and guilt is terrible at times. Jennifer Hodge me too! Except it’s my son and his wife. I cannot figure out why she doesn’t like me until now after watching this! It’s a spiritual battle since she does not walk with Christ. Now my son says he’s agnostic. I just want him back in my life and even her as well. I know I have to pray for compassion for them but it’s so hard when they block me out of their lives now!
I will pray for your family !

Yes she is an open doorway. Keep praying for your son and your daughter-in-law. Learn about spiritual warfare and the prayers that can break the darkness around them. Have you ever been in a great mood and suddenly you feel a great depression when someone walks in. That's not your depression, that is someone who is under something evil. They probably don't even know why. Don't ever dismiss the Holy Spirt when he warns you.

Oh, how we need to know about spiritual warfare and have prayer partners who will join with us in warfare over our families! Our churches have missed the mark in not teaching it, practicing it, and the entire body of Christ suffers - The Lord said my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge! (Hosea 4:6)
Praying the Lord to guide us into all truth for His sake and for the body of Christ to stand up and be counted!

Hana L, prayer can move mountains, my sister. It was a very long time before I could forgive my mother. I took being 'broken' by our second daughter, that I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to forgive my mom. Your prayer can change them too. He can soften their hearts but first we have to soften ours. xox
