I could gush about Band-Maid for the nth time but I'll comment about you guys instead. Tbh I thought the "one person pauses to nerd out while the other silently seethes" dynamic would get stale after a while but i feel like it's actually gotten more natural over time between the two of you. So good job guys! Among the reaction channels that I end up watching, Dicodec straddles the line between "super enthusiastic music fans" and "educate the audience about music stuff we pick up while listening." It's a nice niche which makes me keep coming back to your channel. You've earned yourselves a subscriber today.
song needs at least 7 first listens, 1 listen the first time, then 5 repeat listen where you focus on just one of the members performance, and another one to just appreciate the time you spent with this song. Mikus backing vocs is so good here
I have followed you guys since you first started BM reactions. You all have really stepped up your reaction game the past couple of months. Editing is humorous but your analysis of the songs have really improved. The new album is a nice mix of more traditional BM and some crazy stuffthat takes all kinds of twists and turns. Takes multiple listens to truly digest
We listen to you all, and I always thought being to analytical would be boring. I will be reviewing mixes on twitch in the future if I can get the stems. - Alan
I think there's no "normal" Band-Maid. I think they have shown how versatile they are with their music with doing classic rock to metal to punk, then throw in some jazz! Just because they can. They always sound like Band-Maid and yet somehow keep it fresh all of the time.
I got my physical copy of Unseen World yesterday and I'm going to listen to it on my way to work this morning. And, as MISA pointed out, someone left her out of the band member list inside the photobook! Oh, and if you've ever listened to an interview with Saiki, she has a very sultry speaking voice.
It is ridiculous that the new label simply 'forgot' misa in their list of members of said group. In the limited collectors edition!! Srsly, you had one fakkin job on that first promo item!!
I loved the "bit" when Alan was going off on one of his tangents and Eric's thought bubbles! Just hilarious!! Seriously, this is just another banger on this album. They are all just destroying on this album! I particularly love that the vocals have really been developed. They were always great, but man, you can really hear how they have stepped up! The album is mixed way better than Conqueror IMHO. A-Chan just kills on this track. Still the Best Beast on the kit!
@@dicodec Alan does have a tendency to rant a bit and sometimes he over powers your thoughts! LOL! So, he kind of had it coming! By the way, you were correct in saying the older Band-Maid is just as awesome. Alan might not get it so much, but, we do!!
Since it's the end of the world and all, they should do one of those Mad Max gigs, on top of insane death machines in a dessert and we'll be driving along and rocking out...
As for the mixing, I couldn't agree more. Compared to the last two albums, it is a world of difference! Whether this is due to their new label or whether they really took some opinions to heart, doesn't matter to me. It's just nice to finally hear the ladies' music in the right quality. And they certainly don't waste a single thought on stepping on the brakes in their quest for 'World Domination' or to reach the 'Unseen World'. And that staging of Kanami's solos on the roof of the car is by far the best I've seen so far! 🤘🔥🤘 ... Just as good as the annotations in your videos! 😂
The deep bass notes are higher in the mix this time, just like on Just Bring It. It really gives the music more "punch." On WD, the snare drum is crazy loud, but not the bass, and Conqueror is just kind of muddled throughout. IMHO
Love your reaction guys. for me After life seem more typical Band-Maid than Warning tbh, I think even BAND-MAID themselves consider After life as one of their classic BAND-maid sounding tracks of the album.
Really... I have heard this alot now, but I got four songs that come to mind. To bad i can't hum them to you since i cant remember the names hahahahaha
I’m still laughing in joy because everyone you ask lists different songs from the album as their #1 or #2. I thought After Life was fire when they performed it at the online concert and released the track after. I then promptly forgot about it while listening to the other 11 tracks and After Life probably sits in the bottom half of my Unseen World ranking now.
Awesome reaction as always!!! You guys definitely know how to enjoy BAND-MAID without being annoying haha...BAND-MAID is making this year so good at this point, this month is going to be insane with all their surprises 😎
🤣🤣🤣I am...killing you...so slowly...in my head...you had my dying there! Alan just wants to mosh so "typical Band-Maid" isn't getting his juices flowing. But this track is great, the MV makes it even better. Great reaction as always guys!
KANAMIは天才です。天才でも常に努力して新しい曲にチャレンジしています。 彼女の名前を漢字は 【歌の波】という意味です。文字通り、彼女は音楽の大きな波を世界中届かせています。 KANAMI is a genius. Even a genius is always trying hard to try new songs. Kanji for her name means a wave of songs. Literally, she has a big wave of music all over the world.
AHAHAH Eric you are the nice guy! Yes, Alan too!! How cool Saiki's vocal is in this song, it likes Kanami's guitar riff! ALWAYS they make very great sound. ( ^ ^ ) Thanks nice reaction. Enjoy Band-Maid!
So far my favorite song on the new album is still Manners, but that's probably because I prefer the normal tempo songs over the super-fast tempo - or more accurately I really like the fast ones but I'd like them to be the exception and not the rule. That said, this album is still sinking in - not sure my opinion has "settled in" yet. Still my favorite band!
I share your opinion. Band-Maid has the technical chops to play very fast, but it's the songs with a little more space between the notes that I prefer. "Moratorium", "Awkward", "Flying High" are examples.
Alan Finally went Full Band Maid Fan Mode. Took muuch longer then i exspected. I was Full Fan after hearing like The Songs Alone and Choose Me and Domination the Live Version.
Movie director: Girls can we have some explosions? Band-maid: Yes, if possible atomics. Director of the film: oh no, but one to warm the hearts of all Maidiacs I put at the end.
Band-Maid signed with Pony Canyon at the beginning of this year. This was I believe not as compressed as their past albums, like you said it sounds so much better.. I every CD since they started in 2013 and this is the best sounding CD yet. Great reaction guys.. Keep Rocking 🤘🤘👍👍 If you notice at the end of of "Manners and Warning" there is no record label..
listen to the song more and it takes you over...the whole album is fire and littered with evolved old band maid and new stuff like afterlife...they even said so in an interview that that was their intension
Every time I see this MV I think that explosion was way bigger they they anticipated. Also this video checked all the rock and roll boxes stunts, fire, explosions, guitar solo, car chase. I for one welcome our impossibly hard rocking Maid overlords.
What do you think the symbolism of the one of cars is English and the other is American? Me, it has to do with their mission of world conquest (Rock World). With the English Subs, I now have increased my number of views so I can enjoy the lyrics. They've got a really a good video team now, Huh. Also for the peanut gallery, they aren't really playing their instruments from the top of moving cars. Kanami has control of the production and Saiki has the "We're Done" call.
This song is my favorite off the progress CD by a wide margin, I figure you guys would love this one and probably love the rest of progress. The Roots CD is where its at for me, looking forward to seeing your reaction to other songs off this album. I remember telling you that while I am a 8 out of 10 (for musicianship I would give it 10 out of 10) for this album, I still think you guys will be giving it a 10 out of 10. I am a bit surprised you like afterlife better then this one Alan, as the band considers Afterlife more of their tradition sound and Warning more of their progressive sound.
@@dicodec The New Album seems to lean more on the Metal Side with the exception of Manners and that One Song that is Full Miku Vocals that is more Pop Punk. I am more of a Fan of their Hard Rock Side. but i also like the Metal of Warning and Rinne that sounds like a Tribute to 1990 ies Megadeth.

FCK YEAH ITS FRIDAY! WARNING! - BAND-MAID COMING TO KICK YOUR ASS! So many things stick out in this song for me but I think the biggest 3 things are #1 Akanes drum fills (No surpise here). #2 Saiki vocals (Again no surprise here). #3 Mikus vocals. Holy fck can we please talk about Mikus vocals. They were so damn good in this song. All the backing vocals really added to the song. Not taking anything away from Kanami and MISA either, there were both doing their thang as usual.
You're the first ones I've found who focused more on the song, than the stunts in the video. Don't get me wrong, I love how this video was shot with all the stunts. But it's all for naught without an equally kick ass song. I agree with you on the vocals during the song. It's as if Saiki and Miku are providing and extra rhythmic instrumental layer with their voices. But Missa, I'm sure, simply ignores what Kanami is playing and focuses more on Akane's kick than anything else. This is evident by how her pulses are in perfect lockstep with the kick. As someone who has played many freelance bass gigs, I can say that my primary focus is to lock in with the drummer whilst leaving space for any and all soloists. Not to say that her part isn't anything short of brilliant, because it is sheer brilliance! I can't call this song "typical Band-Maid". Though it does have elements of the familiar it is still pushing the more intense, heavier vibe of Different and Afterlife. There are several songs on this new album that I could see mosh pit inducing when live shows can be a thing again. Very much like Among the Living Era Anthrax.
She totally follows akane and that is how it should be done in my opinion. I fight with bassist all the time about this. They are like what are you playing, and I am like NEXT
@@dicodec to be fair, the bassist needs to know the chords as well so they can be the groovy harmonic bridge between the drums and the rest of the band. So the bass player has a lot of responsibilities.
Agree After Life is the best song in the album so far Different eould be up there too if that song in the album Oh yeah this vocal melody remind me of old One Ok Rock (Niche Syndrome, Zankyo Reference, Jinsei×Boku= era) which is nice Kanami like the band, she cover them before

This is cool, BAND-MAID is doing their part to solve climate change. They've invented a new propulsion system called "Drum Drive". The higher the beats per second, the faster you go. And in case you prefer the guitar "Riff Drive" 🤘😎🤘
The reason that Saiki can get some of really fast phrases out the way that she does is because of Japanese as a language. A lot of the words very easily lead into each other and there isn't a massive amount of movement in the mouth to get out like 80% of Japanese words like English.

Thanks! We appreciate it😀
The director sent 5 production assistants to tell Saiki it was time for her to get on top of the car.
She let one live to tell him, she said no.
Ahahahahahahahaha Awesome
That poor guy has had a weird facial tic ever since :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 He'll never visit an high class restaurant again
@@glenkelley6799 Haha yeah that's a given :)
song needs at least 7 first listens, 1 listen the first time, then 5 repeat listen where you focus on just one of the members performance, and another one to just appreciate the time you spent with this song.
Mikus backing vocs is so good here
Her backing vocals are really good! I am listening to it right now hahaha
@@dicodec shes rocking falsettos too, damn
I have followed you guys since you first started BM reactions. You all have really stepped up your reaction game the past couple of months. Editing is humorous but your analysis of the songs have really improved. The new album is a nice mix of more traditional BM and some crazy stuffthat takes all kinds of twists and turns. Takes multiple listens to truly digest
We listen to you all, and I always thought being to analytical would be boring. I will be reviewing mixes on twitch in the future if I can get the stems. - Alan
@@dicodec Definitely love the analysis. Most reactors just say "OMG! This is awesome!" While flashing the rock and roll hand sign. Adds no value.
I think there's no "normal" Band-Maid. I think they have shown how versatile they are with their music with doing classic rock to metal to punk, then throw in some jazz! Just because they can. They always sound like Band-Maid and yet somehow keep it fresh all of the time.
That's totally true
I got my physical copy of Unseen World yesterday and I'm going to listen to it on my way to work this morning. And, as MISA pointed out, someone left her out of the band member list inside the photobook! Oh, and if you've ever listened to an interview with Saiki, she has a very sultry speaking voice.
Amazing! I cannot wait to get the album
It is ridiculous that the new label simply 'forgot' misa in their list of members of said group. In the limited collectors edition!! Srsly, you had one fakkin job on that first promo item!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MISA MISA MISA!
Band-maid and your reaction are always great!
I'm sorry for my poor English.
Thank you so much!! English was perfect!

I'm glad you got a reply.
I also enjoy your reaction to Maximum the Hormone every time.
the change of pace out of the solo into the upbeat bridge is soo good
kanami is a genius
For sure! Absolutely agree
Still the Best Beast on the kit!
hahahaha I couldn't resist putting that, he was so pissed at me. I was like this is probably what Eric is thinking - Alan
@@dicodec Alan does have a tendency to rant a bit and sometimes he over powers your thoughts! LOL! So, he kind of had it coming! By the way, you were correct in saying the older Band-Maid is just as awesome. Alan might not get it so much, but, we do!!
Drive by gig coming soon each song starts in one town and ends in the next town over.
Haha yes!!
That would be pretty awesome 🤣
IMHO
You can feel the Beef in this
@@dicodec
Arby's: Where's the beef?
Band-Maid: Hold my sandwich
Love your reaction guys.
for me After life seem more typical Band-Maid than Warning tbh, I think even BAND-MAID themselves consider After life as one of their classic BAND-maid sounding tracks of the album.
Really... I have heard this alot now, but I got four songs that come to mind. To bad i can't hum them to you since i cant remember the names hahahahaha
Dicodec guys...when you have heard "No God" and "Black Hole", you will put "After Life" in second or third place😁🤘🤘🤘
Cannot wait to hear it!
Kanami is a great guitarist and composer. And they are great to play it.
Which makes them amazing even more so
Awesome reaction as always!!! You guys definitely know how to enjoy BAND-MAID without being annoying haha...BAND-MAID is making this year so good at this point, this month is going to be insane with all their surprises 😎

I'm 6 year in with Band-Maid and they still surprise me and amaze me all the time. It's like an endless story
That is awesome!
I see what you did there. ; )
Glad we get to headbang with you guys, everybody was rushing but you guys keep the pace nice and easy,
Yea man, we were trying to put it out yesterday. I was to tired. Band-Maid Friday
🤣🤣🤣I am...killing you...so slowly...in my head...you had my dying there! Alan just wants to mosh so "typical Band-Maid" isn't getting his juices flowing. But this track is great, the MV makes it even better. Great reaction as always guys!
Thanks Ray! 🤘🤘🤘
I love your reactions.
Its been a while since I laughed this hard.
Thanks for always the great video!
Glad you like them! We are fools at heart hahaha
KANAMIは天才です。天才でも常に努力して新しい曲にチャレンジしています。
彼女の名前を漢字は
【歌の波】という意味です。文字通り、彼女は音楽の大きな波を世界中届かせています。
KANAMI is a genius.
Thanks! This song was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to hear the rest of the record!
Great job guys! Love to little pop up thoughts. Funny chit. Band Maid Rocks!!!
Thank you hahahahah It was to good not to zoom in on Eric
So far my favorite song on the new album is still Manners, but that's probably because I prefer the normal tempo songs over the super-fast tempo - or more accurately I really like the fast ones but I'd like them to be the exception and not the rule. That said, this album is still sinking in - not sure my opinion has "settled in" yet. Still my favorite band!
I share your opinion. Band-Maid has the technical chops to play very fast, but it's the songs with a little more space between the notes that I prefer. "Moratorium", "Awkward", "Flying High" are examples.
DUDE manners is stuck in my head everyday, and is becoming my favorite.
@@dicodec that blues rock groove is so strong!
Alan Finally went Full Band Maid Fan Mode. Took muuch longer then i exspected.
I was Full Fan after hearing like The Songs Alone and Choose Me and Domination the Live Version.
hahahah Yea the new songs got me.
Unseen World is way better mixed than any of their discs before. Finally!
Movie director: Girls can we have some explosions?
Band-maid: Yes, if possible atomics.
Director of the film: oh no, but one to warm the hearts of all Maidiacs I put at the end.
hahahahah love it
Got my CD today with DVD.. and.. the DVD has After Live, No God, Giovanni and Without holding back... instrumental video??!! Nice! ;-)
Heck yes that is awesome!!
Band Maid for album of the year, best rock album Grammy, the world knows this, are you listening academy?
Right!
Band-Maid signed with Pony Canyon at the beginning of this year. This was I believe not as compressed as their past albums, like you said it sounds so much better.. I every CD since they started in 2013 and this is the best sounding CD yet. Great reaction guys.. Keep Rocking 🤘🤘👍👍
If you notice at the end of of "Manners and Warning" there is no record label..
Seen the credits. It’s mixed and mastered by the same guy as previous albums.
Well he has improved like the rest of the girls have
1st song on the album and it set the tempo for the whole thing. Good job by them and their production team. Best Damn har.d Rock band on the planet
Heck yes!!
I’m surprised you didn’t comment on the fact that Kanami, Misa, and Akane are sometimes playing while being strapped into the top of a vehicle. XD
To be completely honest, I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE, until right now
It's an easy thing to overlook. Lol

listen to the song more and it takes you over...the whole album is fire and littered with evolved old band maid and new stuff like afterlife...they even said so in an interview that that was their intension
That is what is happening to me right now hahaha I listened to it so many times now!
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Eric you crack me up. That "droning on" sequence was comedy gold.
hahahahahha Thank you!
Every time I see this MV I think that explosion was way bigger they they anticipated. Also this video checked all the rock and roll boxes stunts, fire, explosions, guitar solo, car chase. I for one welcome our impossibly hard rocking Maid overlords.
Same here! I'm looking forward to the world run by Band-Maid.
Yeah, we like strapping in on the roof of cars and play demolition derby while shredding because we are Band Maid, Po!
hahahahha Love it
I can definitely see MISA and Akane saying this.
Kanami, not so much.
BANDMAID IS A GIFT...
If you look at the track list for the double cd version disc one is titled origins, and disc two is titled progress.
Oh, very cool!
We didn't notice 🤔 that's a good theory though. I like it and support it.
Lol the edits on this are killing me! Spare him Eric! He knows not what he does! 🤣

So weird! I am not hearing it.... Different is my favorite as of this morning. I am sure it will change
I love to Headbang at that You cant Control me, You cant Control me part its so Metal.
hahahah wow didn't even notice that at first. I got manners still stuck in my head

The New Album seems to lean more on the Metal Side with the exception of Manners and that One Song that is Full Miku Vocals that is more Pop Punk.
I am more of a Fan of their Hard Rock Side. but i also like the Metal of Warning and Rinne that sounds like a Tribute to 1990 ies Megadeth.
thank you for noticing miku's background vocals. it was going against yet blended with the solo and rhythm.
Yeah that was pretty awesome for sure!

They went overboard with stunts though!! Greenscreen that shit! Don't get hurt po!
hahahahah or maybe they need more????
It looks fun as usual .
Very fun indeed! I wanna strap on in the cars and do what Band-Maid is doing.
This song should be nick named carrol of the maids . Hey Akane is a pro dj. DJ ACHI so wouldnt we all shit ourselves if she was the one mixing the songs and she is ficking sick at it . Nothing wrong with classic band maid you have to remember that is what drove us to band maid to begin with we should never forget and want the maids to stay in touch with that side of them because if they we will alway get fresh and surprising music
That would be sick! Yeah, absolutely right. That what I was trying to preach to Alan.
@@dicodec i personally like when they sometimes go poppy like blooming or moratorium it shows how well they write and perform and tell the singer you had on phoenix he was siiiiicccckkkkk!!!!!!!!!
Can you imagine going to a club in Shibuya and Akane and MISA are there DJing?
FCK YEAH ITS FRIDAY! WARNING! - BAND-MAID COMING TO KICK YOUR ASS!
So many things stick out in this song for me but I think the biggest 3 things are #1 Akanes drum fills (No surpise here). #2 Saiki vocals (Again no surprise here). #3 Mikus vocals. Holy fck can we please talk about Mikus vocals. They were so damn good in this song. All the backing vocals really added to the song.
Not taking anything away from Kanami and MISA either, there were both doing their thang as usual.
I totally feel you on this. Of course they always bring it in every song but yeah super dope one for sure.

Haha glad you enjoyed it.
Its becuz the album is divided into their roots sound and their new one i guess.
Got ya, it sounds like amazing BAND MAID to me
Your feel to BAND-MAID music going more complete and mature.
They're really starting to become one of my favorite for sure.
@@dicodec So do I.
Akane took it easy on this one
............... xxxxxxxxx..............Akane!
True, what we're we thinking haha
Akane is worthy to hit like thor
Indeed she is haha
Do you guys only react to MV? Or do you do album tracks too?
If you dont please just make an exception for this GOLDEN album.
We do albums as well. We did that for Maximum The Hormone.

The reason that Saiki can get some of really fast phrases out the way that she does is because of Japanese as a language. A lot of the words very easily lead into each other and there isn't a massive amount of movement in the mouth to get out like 80% of Japanese words like English.
Very true!
She didn't go halftime at the end, imo, because they do it several other times on the album... can't overdue it.
That's true
