what's the point of your silent switches lol ? they are just silent and what's the point to know how they sound like lmao and also all of your switches are fucking clacky and there's none you made that sounds creamy or even thocky
Thanks for this! This is the clearest sounding video out there with the switches I wanted to get. The Cream Black, Cream Yellow and Piano. I'm leaning towards Piano now after listening it back to back with the Cream Yellow.
Akko switches these day are lubed . I think their lube job is kinda ok. my experience with cs piano is that they lube them too much , the lubing will spill out to your keyboard if you are using them for along time. I hope these Pro version will fix that
I'm looking for one that's comfortable to use, I currently use an Outemu brown which is tactile, I'll use it mainly for programming, the noise wouldn't be much of a problem, but I also didn't want one that was too loud. Which would you recommend?
For sounding aspects. I recommend 2 akko newest silent switches Fairy and Penguin. I did sound test them on my new Akko Switches video. Or you can go for the piano switches.
sound depend on others things. Keyboardv material, foam, plate, some keyboard material will have unique sound profile not just switches alone. Go for rosewood. In my board its thock but kinda low volume. I dont know what is your thock is preferred to. But its not high pitch
Yes, its great for any type of usage. It's an upgrade of Jelly Black, some what thock in some build. And smooth too. In my place they when out of stock because of high demand
i got the silvers. they sound amazing, will take some time to used to typing on them because they are my first speed switch and are pretty fast. my thumb sometimes rests on the spacebar while typing, sometimes resulting in a mis-input because of the speed. the slightest bit of pressure will send an input. still amazing though
I can't choose between piano and silver because they are both good, could you please tell me which of the switches is louder and describe in words how both switches sound, for example (this switch sounds like marble, you get it). Thank you in advance, and which ones did you like the most? Is the piano suitable for games, that is, will it be comfortable to play? Do you think if I install 45 piano switches and 45 silver switches, it will be convenient for me to type and play because both switches are good and it is difficult for me to make a decision
I think if you want short actuation, you go for the silver. For sound. The silver lean towards clacky, high pitch sound. The piano is more muted and thocky sound.
On spec the akko silver will actuations faster then cherry and will bottom out quicker. With light pressure to press it too. You in specs the akko is quicker than cherry.
I've found in recent months I love the Akko switches, probably best price performance hands down. I just put Piano Pros in a GMMK Pro that was very muted, truly brought it to life and is now like a muted thock. I also love the Cream Blue pros, the tactile is light but just enough and that poppy sound is great for quite a wide range of keyboard. I know it was a quick review but this was great, thank you for sharing!
the diffrence is mainly your feeling, to my ears i hear a small deeper sound on tactile switch. And the feel of tactile bump compare to linear switches. But the sound diffrence depend on your keyboard . But the feel is surely diffrent when you are typing on tactile vs linear. On you keyboard I never use it before so i dont know the sound will be differ or not. But the typing feel will .
@@blue0856Well if you want to experiment your keyboard might be capable of swapping to other switches (the term is called hotswappable, you can check if your keyboard supports that by opening it up and checking for hotswap sockets). Unfortunately your keyboard only supports outemu switches, but they should still have options between linear, tactile, and clicky (clicky are switches similar to the iconic cherry blue switch, which makes a metallic ping sound when pressed). Of course if you don’t mind your current setup then you don’t have to do anything.
@@blue0856 There’s some really cheap switch pullers available in plastic on most websites and they often come when you purchase switches. A method I used before I got my hands on one is wedging a flathead screwdriver into the front to push back the little plastic tab that is there, and then doing the same at the back, and then leveraging the screw to push the switch upwards. Remember to check if your keyboard is actually hotswap before you do this though, as you will have to resolder your keyboard if it is not.
Piano sounds so good and refined. I was considering Silver for gaming because of the short throws, but piano sounds better. Are piano's good for gaming?
just get what sounds and looks better to you, dont botter with "this is for gaming, and this is for typing" as long as the key arent stiff af and all the akko are about the same actuation force
i got silvers, i highly suggest them for gaming, i have anc headphones so the sound dosnt matter that much to me, they feel better then the gateron mily yellows
factory lube which mean the switch has been lube by the factory, you don't need to lube them afterwards. Because in the old days most of the keyboard switches require the user top open them and lube them for better typing experience. But nowadays they just got lubed in the factory, no need for hand lubing them. Unless you don't satisfied with the factory lube job, you can clean them and relube them by yourself
Hmm I think if you like shorter actuation force then you go for Silver, but if you OK with longer actuation force you can go for cream yellow, depend on which game you are playing and your play style
What should I get? I’m debating on: - AKKO V3 Cream Yellow Pro - AKKO V3 Cream Black Pro - AKKO V3 Silver Pro Which one should I get? I used to have a Red Switch Keyboard but had to buy a new one cuz it broke. I now bought the same keyboard (RK61) but in came with Brown Switches because it was on sale. Which one should I get from the 3 Switches I mentioned? I want to try something different than Red Switches BUT would give me almost the same experience.
Since all three are linear switches, your decision will depend on your preferred keystroke travel (shorter or longer) and the sound profile. For a fast and relatively clacky experience , choose the Silver Pro. It has a clacky but bright sound. If you prefer a heavier typing feel, go for the Cream Black. This switch has the deepest sound profile. The Cream Yellow offers a middle ground in terms of typing weight, but it's the loudest of the three. It has a creamy sound with some clack to it. In summary: Sound: Clacky and bright - Silver Pro, Deep - Cream Black, Creamy with some clack - Cream Yellow Typing Speed: Silver Pro > Cream Yellow > Cream Black

Because individual preferences and modding techniques can significantly impact the smoothness and feel of the switches, my perception may not accurately reflect yours. Overall, Akko's new lineup offers a smooth typing experience, but the sound profile exhibits a slight increase in clackiness compared to the previous generation.
I have just purchased the Akko V3 Blacks. Although it is very smooth feel when pressed, it is quite clacky from my taste and may need lubing if wanting deeper sound, as well as the stem travel is shorter on the black which i am not a fan of.
