Loved this (from a Saints supporter). Still have fond memories of listening to this grand final from my hospital bed. Great to see John Burns, too.

A great coach who created a very good football team. More than half of the players in this GF were North players when they won the Spoon before Barassi was appointed.

He coach the biggest comeback in a grand final ( Carlton v Collingwood 44 points at half time behind to win by 10 points in 1970) and North Melbourne first ever premiership in 1975. They were so bad a friend of mine from state school pretended to support the bombers in the early 70s who weren't to good anyway at that time and when North came good he showed he supported North Melbourne. When I asked him why he said he was to embarrassed to say he supported North. That's how bad they were before Barrassi went there.

Barassi’s greatest achievement… getting a flag for North Melbourne . And another one two years later! Probably should’ve won in 1978 too.
