They had absolutely 0 impact on the game, what are you saying? She had no pressure, no proactive plays, never started anything, nada. @@obvioustrash7833 I mean, I would hardly call her a detriment to the team in this game. Like if you switched Yone and Annie in this game, red team still wins. That does indicate a player that should probably be closer to 40% winrate rather than 8%.
@Maiwa-wk9yhNot even really cope. There is a percentage of your games that you will pretty much auto win or auto lose unless your either turbo feeding or just way better than the other team and hard carry. It’s the percentage of games in between that’s the determine if your are gonna have a 60% winrate and climb or 40% winrate and drop. This game the Annie didn’t turbo feed for the standards of the rank he’s in. He would of had to hard carry to win that game.
Its obvious Alexis has practiced some of the basics here. She's got potential. Where she seems to need help is in game sense - where to go, who to fight. How to handle skirmishes. Indecision can ruin spacing and advantageous collapses. This is harder than it looks because Annie is "simple to execute" and very hard to master and punishes bad/no decision. Annie is a total noob trap. Annie has to be in the right spot at the right time to be effective, and otherwise has little agency. I'd suggest watching mid elo Annie's to see how they handle lane trades and skirmishes for advantageous collapses. High elo - is too coordinated for an Iron reference point. I literally mean Silver or Gold Maybe our Hero likes Annie a lot. I would suggest trying other midlaners that have some pick potential and/or mobility or at least bigger range. Not a mid laner myself so I can't realky make suggestions here. Seeing enemies repeatedly outrun Annie on a sliver of health was painful. She literally doesn't have the same "BS" potential they do. 'This is harder than it looks because Annie is "simple to execute" and very hard to master and punishes bad/no decision.' I get what you're saying, but I don't think it's true to call Annie "very hard to master". Many of the decision making flaws present here are those which would be punished regardless of champion choice. I would moreso say that the game is hard to master, and punishes bad/no decision, even if your champion is simple to execute (like Annie). Annie is a pretty solid champ for new players because she puts training wheels on some important skills-such as her long last-hit windows, relatively simple skillshots, simple mana management, and clear conditions for trade pressure-that usually require a lot of focus for a new player. What makes her 'better' than some other "training wheels champs" is that she makes things somewhat simpler, but often not in a way that makes it harder to recognize your mistakes. For example, the punishment for managing your mana poorly is quite obvious, since wasteful trades will still deplete her mana pool very quickly. Another example would be how there is a very obvious trade-off between using your skills on the wave vs holding them for pressure, since you feel very clearly weaker when depleting her passive stacks or when your W is on cooldown for the burst. Annie does have her nuances, and I'd agree that she requires more understanding to master than the average giga-noobie champ, but I'd just rethink calling her a noob-trap.
