    Awesome project glad you stuck with it. It would be interesting to take it to a high school football stadium and put it on the top row of seats and see how much of the field it lights up.

    On the 110v side of the circuit it will be only using 3amps max so no meed for that thick wire because 12v at 20 amps is 240watts and 240watts at 110v is 2.18 amps

    Hey Nerd :),
    How much did this in total cost to build and how much stronger could you realistically make it without completely starting from scratch?

    • @QuietNerd
      @QuietNerd  Год назад +4

      The total cost is a bit confusing since I had to go through so many different parts and pieces to get to the final build. I'm guessing but you could prolly get away with about 200-250 ish maby more maby less and that is if you don't build the external power supply part or add windows or the power meter and things like that. I'm kinda guessing to be honest. You could also add metal brackets for the corners to make it stronger if you wanted. Hope it helps - Cheers!

    The clear walls you made, you should have used wood on top of it. You had at least 10 more screws then you needed on each side because of that.

    te sugiero que le agas una conexión paralela,con un 10% de corriente , alumbrara un quinto pero gastara un céntimo y te servira para usarla toda la noche, ejemplo para cazar,o ante un corte de luz,ante un requerimiento, de mucha luz ,solo aplicando la otra llave tendras toda la potencia

    this is too bright for my project, i need something like a light bulb ~ 60-80w, run on DC, softlight output to make the perfect campsite for me. The only problem is i couldn't find the bulb in DC so i thought of converting an AC bulb to DC by removing the rectifier (i don't think I need to but I would for the sake of efficiency :D :D :D). the other problem is the AC bulb only works at 220Volt.... now this is tricky for me. i guess i could always use an inverter (DC to AC) to power the AC bulb but so dumb i hate it
