Many new viewers may not know this but Ashley is a seasoned fighter. Amari used her as her right hand fighting monkey when they battled the males and other troops. Amari and Ashley were a force and even the males backed down from those two. If Ashley had wanted to hurt someone there would have been massive wounds and blood. Ashley was delivering some sort of lesson, she's always behaved with restraint when necessary. I doubt it was unwarranted but it could have been orchestrated by humans.

She is the sheriff of the troop. If you play it at half speed she wasnt disciplining one monkey. She was disciplining ALL the juveniles. I love how ALL of them completely ignore the infants. And if you watch it at half speed you can see Ashley trying to break it up pulling one with her arms and the other she was pushing away from her with her feet. Since they didnt listen to the sheriff they ALL learned a lesson. Edit: at least the VOs were not hitting Ashley with sticks this time.

Bruno just wants love and a mom…both females were good to him…but in that instance he needed to make a fast decision and he went with Ashley because he has history/ knows her for a longer time than Libby. But, don’t worry…Libby beat Tom’s butt in another video…he will think twice before making that mistake again. Some people were mad the VOs didn’t separate the fight…but I think they have to let the two monkeys Tom/Libby to fight it off because they needed to establish who dominate and Libby was the winner in the other video. Tom now shows respect to Libby.

I was just going thru old videos of Ashley to show others how she's always had a big stomach on her and noticed this comment about "pregnant Ashley". Thru the years many people have said she's pregnant while the back story is she was fixed over 15 yrs ago after having a couple of miscarriages/stillbirths. While her stomach is clearly bigger now, she's had a big stomach for years. If somehow she is actually pregnant now I'd surprised. Never say never especially when it's about a bunch of monkeys and unless we're a vet with the proper equipment to do an ultrasound, it's gonna take actually seeing her give birth.
It cracks me up that these guys ALWAYS have their cameras recording accept before a big fight happens, or poor baby Amanda gets hurt. Which is not an "accident" or by another monkey. Ashley protects that baby like a mama bear protects her cubs.
