This was very interesting. The repeated mention of highlanders makes me wonder in contrast how many Quebecois were fighting in the Canadian expeditionary force, and if so, were they organised in separate regiments?

Quebecois soldiers served in the _Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF)_ ..but they were not always grouped in their own units. The most notable exception was the _22nd Battalion (Canadien-Français)_ which was formed in 1914 and became the first and only entirely French-speaking battalion in the CEF during the war. This unit is the predecessor of today's _Royal 22e Régiment (R22eR)_ ⚜️🍁

Some advice for the narrators of this excellent program. Don't make awkward pauses in your dialogue; especially before prepositions like "in" and "on". Speak conversationally like you're speaking to a person instead of reading. Thank you to the WFA.
