I truly thank the LORD for my Baptist roots. I just wish I paid attention in church when I was younger. I'm away from home and my home church, all of the elders are gone, including my grandaddy who would lead devotion sometimes, and I just miss the old church services of the 80's and 90's so so much.
I have unforgettable memories of singing like this in our church in Louisiana. It goes to the core of my soul and feeds it strength with the spirit of our ancestors. .

This is the way we was taught to sing hymns when I was younger. It still lives in my spirit this day.
Lucky you. They never taught us kids to sing them. The old people did it the way they're doing in the video.
