It was NOT a mistake by Fiverr. That was intentional. They are checking how far they can push the sellers. They want you to work like slaves and make buyers happy. Once you are exhausted, you will be replaced with someone else.
Thank you so much for this, I had two 4.8 star on my last two order and it makes me sad. This might actually be the reason. overall this is not a good move , low ratings would affect general confidence of buyers on the platform.
4.8 is nothing bad.
Honestly anything under 4 I’d be concerned about. But I feel you, I still get anxious every time I leave feedback and I wait for the notification to pop up telling me what the client gave me 😂
I just got 2 , 4 star reviews this week.These buyers never requested any revisions and are totally satisfied with my delivery. However for some reason they left 4 star reviews
Exactly that. It sounds like it’s just an honest mistake by the buyer due to the new feedback rating system.
Note though, luckily this new review process hasn’t been passed out to all users yet as it’s currently in Beta.
All we can hope is that they review this before pushing it out as the new way to review.

Fiverr did this intentional and nothing we can do about it other than over delivering. And eventually platform will loose a lot of great sellers

Thanks a lot. So I’ve already spoken to Fiverr about this. And it’s currently in the Beta version. And has been rolled out to select users (buyers).
The best way to overcome this is to over deliver right now and perhaps put a comment of some kind in your delivery notes. However, you can’t prompt them to leave your desired feedback rating as this is against Fiverr rules. So be careful how you word it
Fiverr is always looking for new ways to make it hard for sellers to deliver their services.

Yeah I know, I’ve been there. If you follow up with the client you’ll normally find they say it was a mistake. Which I believe now thanks to the new feedback system
This is a terrible idea! It will massively bring down the review rating on each gig and the sellers overall rating. People like things fast, and are inpatient, their are many out there that will skip through and give low stars because they just want to get off that page. This will have a massive effect eventually on earnings for the freelancer and also the company, decline and negative. Bad business decision on fiverr's part !

I got 2 reviews 4.5 and 4.7. They were completely happy with my work and we are continueing order but still their ratings are not satisfying 😢 How I can talk with them to change this review
Message them and just ask if they could explain why they give you X stars for _____ and a lot of the time they will say, “ooo I’m sorry it was a mistake”
You can now get this changed but the client would need to contact Fiverr and ask them to reset the rating so they can rate again as they made a mistake.

Hey chris what would be minimum competition in any niche for my seller account approval
I am a level 1 seller. I have completed 70 orders on fiverr and from them I got 65 (5 stars rating). but now for the new buyers rating system makes me disappointed because I got 3 (4 star's ratings ) from my Repeated clients. before this update I got 5 star's reviews from them. so Right now I am feeling concerned about my profile and gigs. I don't know how I can overcome from this situation.
Don’t worry, it’s normal now.
2 things I’d maybe suggest.
1. Speak to those clients just so they know for next time.
2. In your delivery notes to each order, just put something saying to not rush the feedback option as Fiverr has made an update and now it’s a bit confusing.
Something like that is fine…But you can’t ask or tell the client which feedback to give you. It’s against the rules
That’s the reason we are getting 4 to 4.7 starts continuously. Very sad.

I got a 4stars from a repeated buyer. The buyer is happy for the work I have done. But this new Fiverr rating is very confusing.
I take a break again. And I don't know when will I be back.
I know it can be demotivating, but with everything there will be a solution you can try and implement.
However 4stars is not sooo bad, so chin up :)
@chrisfarman.knowhow Exactly. 4stars is not bad. However, rating threshold for Level 2 is 4.6 and TRS is 4.7. Then, imagine you get a lot of 4 stars instead of 5? I am still level 2 with a low volume orders. That's my big concerned.
My solution, for now, is moving away little by little. And focusing more on my personal project.
I totally agree with you! I still get 5 stars but the Success score is 4 instead of 5 somehow
