I was actually at this game in NJ at the Meadowlands. Really like watching the Sonics in the early, mid 90's and were my favorite team throughout the decade despite living in NJ. This was the 1st time I saw the Sonics live and Kemp proves why he was an All Star this game. Too bad the Sonics couldn't put NJ away and let this close one slip away
@@aurora-cj6ui Shawn wasn't a talented as Derrick man. If you think that then you don't know shit about basketball. He didn't have half of Derrick's skill set
@@toppdogg2815 your parallel universe is very interesting, I suppose. But in my reality DC was a big and heavy guy from the get go. A downsized Shaq if you will. I.e. the size and weight were the main reasons they were both considered to be "talented".
@@aurora-cj6ui heavy guy from the get go? Yeah you don't know what the fuck you talking about,. He was 230 when he came in the league man. Don't say nothing else about basketball
Derrick Coleman, Drazen Petrovic and Kenny Anderson trio would've been contenders in the east in the 90s if Drazen didnt tragically pass away.. RIP Legend, also Coleman could've been the goat PF, dude could do everything
Absolutely great mid 90’s hoops. Seattle at this time is one of the most popular teams and for good reason, crazy depth they had. Drazen Petrovic (RIP) is notably absent and would have made this matchup even more fun than it was. The dynamic point matchup of GP and Lefrak, Queens’ own Kenny Anderson was a major highlight. DC v Kemp, helluva matchup as well! DC with Kenny (plus Petro) as Jersey’s big three was an upcoming and promising trio! Jersey still gave up on the remaining core too soon. Good W for Chuck Daly’s (RIP) Nets.
This makes me sad that Kenny Anderson and DC, and the NJ Nets could have dominated the East like the Sonics had they stayed together and worked on their game more.
@@kin-greenNJ definitely gave up on them too soon and losing Petro the summer prior didn’t help at all. He’s the notable x-factor missing from this here matchup.
Early to mid 90s best time been a basketball fan 👍😍
Excellent Basketball back in the 90's.

i loved K Anderson left hand jumper......he so dame smooth
Man what a fun matchup DC and Kenny Anderson vs Kemp and Payton
👍
Coleman and GP. Numbers 1 & 2 draft picks in 1990 draft. Great game. Thank you.
👍
Kenny Anderson,Derrick Coleman,Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, who would have thought that Payton would be the only HOFer.
Derrick Coleman was the most talented to PF to come in the league in the last 30 plus years
@@toppdogg2815 obviously you haven't heard of Shawn Kemp in your parallel universe.

Great point guard and power forward matchups in this game
Kenny Anderson won his matchup against Gary Payton, while Shawn Kemp won his matchup against Derrick Coleman.
Great upload. Thanks.👍
👍
I was at this game! Good times...
DC & Kemp were more talented then x2 MVP Karl Malone... Coleman had way more range on jumper & Kemp got up higher... fax!!!
Once again MDBball give us great contents 👍
90's NBA games pure classics
👍
Absolutely brilliant piece of basketball 🏀
thanks for putting this video together - nice editing of these great players
👍
Thank you for this video. Anderson was my favorite player growing up. Have a great day.
👍
Everybody though that Kenny Anderson & Derrick Coleman would be the Stockton & malone in the east .

Kenny was pure. DC and Kenny were the Kemp and Payton of the East. If Drazen didn’t pass away the Nets could have been special.
I've always liked Kemp, great "Power Forward and shooter too". Sadly not in Hall of Fame.
He dont have the accolades nor stats
@@B.Piercesports you must be 12
Kemp was a few time all star
This Nets announcer was their announcer before Ian Eagle was. This guy alongside Bill Raftery sound like pure "Jersey" guys announcing games.
Classic combo those two and always found Raftery’s calls off the glass one of the funniest bits in basketball.

What are the shoes Chris Morris has on?
1:27 sheesh, DC should have been an HOFer, easy

Number 11 for the sonics would be a Hall of famer if he played from 2010 and retired now
You mean Detlef Shremph?
Detlef Schremph, German assassin.
Garnett and Marbury was supposed to be the next great PF PG combination. None lasted as long and had more success then Stockton Malone.
Sad that Kenny and DC couldn't maintain at this level together. They shoulda been in the HOF as the left-handed Stockton and Malone.

@@HeathOverledger They would have been a Big 3 to be reckoned with for sure.
@13:21
Gary Payton got overplayed by Kenny but career wise not even close
