New gen assassins creed as been that way boss fights have not given any thrill. Not saying i hate but brotherhood will always be my favorite bcuz of its gameplay. This boss fights here was simply using the same arsenal and live set to use on any boss.

I was so hyped for this battle that I spent the last week grinding all the best gear in the game, I had the fallen hero set, the shield that cures 15% of your health and excalibur, and when I finally got the mission to fight him I took almost no damage lol
How do you get good armor and weapon I can’t beat him he one shots me every time plz help😭

Things that this fenrir has in common with mythology fenrir: Grows alarmingly fast, bit tyr’s hand off, agreed to have the chain put around him if tyr put his hand in his mouth, was best friends with tyr, hated Odin with all his soul, is feared by Odin and is loki’s son
Why do the non Scandinavian countries have other names for the Gods and not call them Loke, Oden, Freja, Fenrisulven..you get it.

I like to think odin somehow defeats fenrir. Gives me hope especially considering the fact that he spends almost his entire life preparing for ragnarok all while aware of his fate. I like to imagine he pulls off some sort of wise old man tactic at the last minute and the rest remains a mystery as to what actually happens to him. The ice swallows him maybe. Norse gods are the most beautiful out of all pantheons in my opinion. They’re so symbolic and human, i think that’s why out of all pantheons I’ve grown so attached to this one it’s because they leave room for speculation and really make you question yourself. They’re very relatable as compared to zeus the floating immortal playboy for example
This section ties into the assassin's creed lore perfectly but looking at this with no context i can understand why people don't think this is good

Another thing I dislike about this boss fight? That instead of restarting you from the moment the fight begins, they dump you all the way back to the entrance to Asgard, so you have to walk pissed off all the way back to the arena.

Why is everyone begging for a Viking AC then complain about it when it comes out? This for one is a vision of Eivor of his past life(Odin) who was Isu. This is the only way it would make sense to Eivor as he can’t comprehend the Isu technology. Seems like most of these people complaining have not played the game at all.

If you get on board with where assassins creed wants to go and understand it then you won’t be mad. If you want more of the old style games just constantly re-designed, new places, characters but same style then your not gonna be a fan of this. I personally don’t mind the change I always loved the old assassins creed games up till unity but this game does have its perks and offers things the old games did not

I normally try to give any new game a fair shot of convincing me to go out of my way to buy it, regardless of past history with their respective series, developer and/or publisher. Although nowadays I'm more cautious about which games I go about getting (doubly so with everything going on) but it varies depending on how I feel towards a specific [developer/publisher], for example: I've already pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 because I genuinely trust CDProjekt Red with what they're promising about delivering a good product whereas I don't have the same feeling with let's say Bioware (ever since DA2 I've had a shaky feeling about trusting them but I won't go any further with my personal experiences with that subject unless you're curious).
So in short, I came to see if it's worth coming back to the series, or at least giving the game itself a fair shot, but I still don't feel the "pull" to get this game so far. This game (or probably the series in general at this point) is probably not for someone like me anymore but that shouldn't stop or discourage others who might be interested in it, everyone has their own opinions.

It's funny to think that if Odin hadn't been so paranoid and hellbent on trying to stop Ragnorok. And hadn't been so terrified of a wolf, none of this may have happened. Fenrir wouldn't have held such hatred for Odin or the Asgardians, Loki wouldn't hold a grudge against him either.
Fenrir and Tyr were both deceived. That was what pissed me off more and Tyr paid the price for it...with his hand and part of his arm.

Okay sooo... He's using sight of the nornir (something like that) a skill that requires adrenaline, this is the ending for Asgard, you get to go to Asgard when you talk to Valka about your dream (or prophecy whatever) you need to complete the first story set for Asgard, then the next one in Jotunheim (idk what it is hopefully I'm right) and then go to Asgard again... It's pretty cool... Btw the sound doesn't actually sound like that... It's better ig... I didn't even think of using the nornir skill, it would've made that fight a whole lot easier😭😂

Guys, Ignore these idiots who just complain without understanding. basically, you remember that weird Mierva lady at the end of AC2? They are called the Isu, and Eivor is a "reincarnation" (sage) of one of them, a mad Isu scientist called Odin who managed to cheat death by "uploading" a copy of himself into the human "genetic pool" (it's actually a bit more complicated than that)
Basically Eivor is trying to understand her past by drinking a potion which lets her relive Odin's memory using her genetic DNA (like the animus which Desmond used to relive Ezio's life). However this method is imperfect and she can't comprehend the Isu, so since she only knows Norse mythology, it looks like this to her.

Theres an earlier portion where Odin meets him as a pup. You have to look at it like this, Fenrir has been abused and mistreated. Hes not supposed to look healthy. Odins cruelty twisted him into a monster
