The only question I would ask is this - is the soil type, structure and ph the same across ALL fields because differences in the soils make would affect its ability to cater for high yields of crops - the additives can be controlled and regulated but the ground itself needs to receive as much attention - not sure if you've gone that far into it - so forgive me if you have

Interesting, I would go with the soil Firming. It would be interesting to see the results in a multi year survey.
