It should be completely illegal for a corporation to do ANYTHING at all anti union, to discourage a union in any way or have videos, leaflets or training seminars to that effect
Unions are more important than ever. With governments and corporations focusing on the online environment. They struggle when people unite in the flesh.
The same issue found at amazon were the same issue found at the GAP ODC Distribution plant up in fishkill NY. You wouldnt believe how such companies treat their core work force. And how their systems of ranking see's to benefits for increased labor and meeting crazy quota margins fall to those not doing the actual work but rather to those higher up the ladder. A pyramid scheme where all the money and benefits go up and not down. And all that the company gives to those doing the real work is shameful acts such as.. "hey today if you guys meet our 3,000 item quota we will give you all free pizza" unbelievable!!!!. And keep in mind, these companies are ran by people, so its people who consider themselves above others deserving more and seeing those doing the hard labor as simply grunts not worth anything. And yet, if those so called grunts stop working than the company cant function. So what we truly have is a system of bias privilege and wickedness. SO much of these standards came from business models seen in China. how to get the most out of people all the while giving them nothing in return. Focusing on stock margins and profits instead of the people. And to make matters worse, these companies talk the sweet talk about trying to favor the employees, while in secret they have employed teams of engineers to convert their factories into robotic automation. taking the human worker out of the loop all together. downsizing the human staff so that the great majority of profits fall in the hands of the few. These are those who setup such systems of exploitation, when all its takes is just being fair. but no.. people are addicted to greed. And figure screw everyone. and yet these people are looked upon as GOOD PEOPLE. while the down trotted worker who keep the companies afloat are looked down upon.
There are A Lot of Amazon bots in these comments...I'm not surprised but damn why not just put that money and effort into actually paying your employees? 🤷 But Jeff Bezos and his lackies have no respect for human life....absolutely disgusting
The 'what are you doing to keep us safe?' complaint came up at the Amazon building I work at. But, our building was already following health department guidelines and providing free masks, hand sanitizer everywhere. The only unsafe thing was that people kept grouping up to chat on their way to and from break. The same people that would have formed a union. So, that complaint kind of fell apart. People still call for a union now and then (usually on the bulletin boards for communicating with management LOL), but nobody every DOES anything to make it happen. Sadly, the union's other complaints, of too short break times, non-livable (and non-competitive) wages, and a high-pressure work environment are valid here, too. And systemic to Amazon. Turnover is crazy. Most people don't last more than 6 months before leaving (usually for something better). Even managers don't stay in their position for more than a year or so before they move on to another position within the company. And that, I think, is the root of the problem. The leadership is constantly in flux. As soon as a manager (of any level) gets good at their job, they move on to something else. So, I wish this union the best of luck and hope they survive or even succeed. The management needs to learn that they can't use people as a stepping stone without some repercussions.

I left on leave at the beginning of the pandemic bc I didn't see anything done about precautions for us. I returned after I saw it was safe to go back
Black history!
Jeez it's like we're in 1932 again
This shit got a mf emotional
Solidarity forever 🌹
May this set a sweeping precedent. It's long past due! 🔥
Way to go , so happy for u guys , union r placed to protect the employees, stand up stand up for ur rights , don’t give up the fight.
Chris Smalls, my hero!
This is crazy this is barely coming to light. I been a warehouse worker for 12 years it’s been like this everywhere. In Cali we have been working especially after covid 12-16 hours 6 days a week it’s pathetic. We have a union to local 439 teamsters that have 6 farms that’s what we call the companies in the unions but they sometimes are in ties with the company not the workers. People always say oh well your making money with all that overtime but with our productivity we have to maintaining it’s not worth your body and missing your kids grow up. I’m finishing up becoming an electrician can’t wait to leave the warehouse life and never look back
Good job JFK8
CEOs didn’t build the middle class, unions did!
I love this story. David and Goliath. The human spirit wins.
This is some 1984 stuff, Big Brother's telling you what to think and do.
it boggles my mind how people left or right will say unions are bad. why is fair representation in the work place bad? Why should I fear going to work and coming home injured?
Well done! Proud of you! Winning especially against all their pressure tactics is remarkable!
James brown :people people we got to get over before we go Under
Solidarity forever!
I didn’t know you could be fired for vulgar language.
I’m in WA state at BF9 fulfillment center.. we need this how could I spread awareness?
Keep up the good work ✊
"I used to be a Union Organizer, Right to work law & temp services has killed unions ability to control the work place".
i used to work in DYY6 in staten island and it was hell
Even if Smalls should have been allowed on the property, transpassing is fairly clear-cut - he could could have easily not be arrested in that specific instance. I admire his persistence.
This is an example of the power being with the people, Alhumdulilah.
Let's see what Bezos Post and their prestitutes say about this.
Haha yeah, I wonder in the bezos-owned washington post reported on this union victory lol
It should be completely illegal for a corporation to do ANYTHING at all anti union, to discourage a union in any way or have videos, leaflets or training seminars to that effect
“If one, the biggest-Amazon, can be beat anyone can be beat”
Solidarity forever
Those workers who tell ya to appreciate your exploitation 🤦♂️ so dumb
People who voted no on that vote are actually losers 😂
I heard from an ex-employee who worked there said they work you to death.
You mean they actually expect production. Well it's a union shop now nothing will get done
@@michaelknight8243 Working people to death vs getting done is two different things.
I have food to bring for Union organizing efforts.
I'm all for unions but $30 an hour for 8000 workers sounds a bit unrealistic unless it's just an bargaining position.
In a free market, people may unionize. Why should powerful corporations cooperate, while hard-working individuals should not?
There are A Lot of Amazon bots in these comments...I'm not surprised but damn why not just put that money and effort into actually paying your employees? 🤷 But Jeff Bezos and his lackies have no respect for human life....absolutely disgusting
So proud of those two!! If Amazon can be beat than any Corporation can!! Remember those words!!
That corporate propaganda is disgusting
Amazon is gross af

Don't forget to give status coup their props
Yes!
Proud of you guys how can these companies owners sleep while their workers are suffering is beyond me
The 'what are you doing to keep us safe?' complaint came up at the Amazon building I work at.
Union membership has never been lower in US history.
Keep fighting!
But bezos gave van jones a 100 million dollar cash gift. Keep voting democrats guys
Has nothing to do with it. Rich elites will be rich elites no matter what. Republicans and democrats sit back, get rich and they are all laughing at YOU. Republicans are not your friend dont get it twisted.
@@Abosone true but social media and the news are constantly pushing Democrat agenda on everyone. I know none of them care, but life was better under trump.
