Awesome video, relaxing… makes me want to go out on a long hike again. I am kinda addicted to my phone and can’t really appreciate nature anymore the way i once could... This video makes me want to do everything to go back to the way i was able to feel and experience a few years back. Thank you very much brother!
Hey man thank you, glad you find it inspiring to get more out! Try with slow steps and i think you will find your way back to appreciate the nature around you! Your phone will not run away and you can use it after the hike🙌
Props for the effort of setting up the camera just to walk back and pick it up again! Stunning frames and very atmospheric. Could emphasize a bit more on the nature itself rather than having you hiking in the frame at all times maybe...but that all comes down to personal taste I'd say! Great video!
Thank you for words and also feedback! I am trying right now to find the balance between the frames and a lot of variation to keep the video interessting, this time i got a little bit lost in time and had to get to my car before getting dark haha, setting up the cam and going back, checking the shot consumes a lot of time :) I want to include also drone shots so I have to find a good workflow! It was also my first time filming in slog3, what a great experience to colorgrade afterwards.
@@HikeWithSanta fully understand your points. Definitely not easy! Talking about the grading part I would highky recommand getting a pro mist or black satin filter for your camera as the footage looks overly sharpened. That softens up the image a bit..you can also go for glow in davinci otherwise which delivers similar results. That way you have better highlight roll offs and the image overall looks way more cinematic/organic! The grading itself looks super good already btw. Love that you went soft on saturation as many tend to comoletely go overboard with that - keeping it very natural this way!
@@SirMProductions haha i think thats my fault, i sharpened it in post maybe to much. Thanks for the info, always open for this kind of feedback. I will try that on my next video :) The mist filter is already on my buy list, I just have to watch if I can combine it with the ND filter. If not glow will do the trick. I am working right now with Premiere, is it worth it to buy DaVinci? Want change to it, because Premiere sucks haha. Thank you! A natural color is what i looking for in this kind of videos.
@@HikeWithSanta imo davinci is far superior than premiere - but thats all up to taste. You xan definitely go way further on grading your footage with davinci. Thats for sure!
Another beautiful hike! That scene from the thumbnail is epic. Are you using J & L cuts? Some of the audio cuts are a bit jarring especially from/to clips with flowing water. (nitpicking only to be helpful)
Thanks man! Yes on this video I used it because i didnt have my rode mic and wind/water had some bad peaks. This one was also cutted with Premiere, I switched to Resolve were I am able to resolve that jarring better but i felt the same watching it then multiple times after uploading haha :) Thanks for your feedback!
@ ah the painful but necessary regretful rewatching! I know that game. Good move to Resolve. I made the move over three years ago and never looked back.
Lovely autumn colors.
very nice piece of silent hiking! Well done!

Nice video, i would love to do some hiking with you.
maybe i will do a community hike :D
Awesome video, CLemens. I love the look of it all. How did you achieve this sort of autumny vibe?
Thank you Moritz! The weather was really moody, no direct sunlight so just a little bit of colorgrading was needed :-)
Oh, I used to live there close by
