    Very nice catch bros! I comment to share for good from spearfisherbro to spearfisherbro: first shot too quick. Material can break - sure - you targeted a monsta. Second shot faaaar to quick - it is supposed to be the backup shot = final shot. Take your time and nail it to secure this beauty. Beautiful place, nice viz, cool fish. Dive safe and mahalos for sharing!

    Nice team work! GT pull like a Mack truck and wreck gear like few other fish. Good thing it was pretty shallow. Funny how the heart rate slows down a bit when you finally get your hands in the gills.

    Attacking head on is risky. That's one big boy. Someone taught me to drop to the side of the hole and then wait for it to pass by. Get da kine money shot.

      I agree, rush shot, more patience for the instant kill...brain shot right behind the eye and 2-3 inches from the top of the head..case and point: shot 86 pounder with homade alumuiniun 3prong, one shot one kill, no assist,instant kill,instant paralysis, no need to brain. nice fish and nice video though. mahalos! Remember, ALWAYS go for that "sweet spot" big fish or small.

      No bro, I dislike spear fishing. As how hard they had to hustle to land, impressive, but spear fishing, i disagree, the fish has no chance of nothing

    • @alexmatsuyama
      @alexmatsuyama  6 лет назад

      gabriel bach The fish always have a chance. They got tails and i don’t know a human out there that can out swim a fish! Here in Hawaii they are smart and been hunted for centuries. Pick up a speargun and try shoot a fish over 50lbs and tell me they got NO CHANCE!!!
