1:52:23 This is why you build forward production. Even the HD AI has a strategy of making a bunch of forward stables for a push. Just think of it as a much, much better Conscription: instead of saving 10 seconds before your units can enter battle, you are saving 2 minutes.
And don't make 4 forward stables. If you have 100k wood, make 30 forward stables, so if you are at 170/200 population during a battle you can reach the population limit in a single production cycle. Even 100 stables would only be 18k wood.

3 hours game with tons of trade + tons of relic + bengali getting food from trade + 2 different players giving orange 40k+ ressources each. that's why orange stockpile looked like this.
Also orange ould have totally won that at the end. you need to just make 50 stables/barracks/range/siege workshop when you have over 100k ressources so you can spam like crazy. make a few cav to snipe the remaining vills, focusing the production buildings and gg
It bothered me that there were lots of relics just sitting there at the end that no one tried to get, but I guess that is what happens when both players have a large pool of resources.

there should be a rule for the last team survive, as example if red and teal would be the last ones , they both have to make a max pop military units and fight it out the player with zero units left loses :D

Ö is used in finland and you can say it like 'i' in birthday, like someone mentioned in the chat and that is correct sound.
though i dont know if Ö is in any other language so...😂 and other letters are in other languages and are pronounced very differently

after t90 commented on yellow's conversions, red almost immediately spoke about yellow having monks. and as soon as yellow being alive was said in all chat, yellow dropped. this is just mean as hell.

Man, Red had a whole character arc during this stream, being a chessmaster moving pieces for himself and his teal allies, participating in multiple alliances and betraying them all. Accumalating guilt and regrets along the way until there was only one obstacle left, one pawn to knock over. But it was the one who was friendliest and kindest to him, who he saved and earned the loyalty of through deeds instead of honeyed words, the one person who could be acalled a friend instead of bussiness partner like teal. He could not bering himself to kill him, the plan set up so long ago was broken as he decided to view orange as more than a pawn and stood beside him against teal. Honestly my favorite community game so far, Red made this amazing, big props to him and props to T90 for casting it of course.
Also loved yellow's chat, my man tried so hard, just way too many good moments to list! what an amazing game.
And red's heart grew three sizes that day...
Merry Christmas. At around the 1 minute 14 mark you and the chat missed the perfect caption. Grey says "Noooo, we were spreading the Christmas cheer" to which red replied "I hate Christmas". Perfection.

There are some gems out there that push close to, or even surpass the 2 hour mark. One is 9 hours, i think. Took me 3 days to watch it at 2x speed. 🤣😅

For the guys from the stream chat wondering how 'Hößi' is pronounced:
'ö' sounds kind off like the 'ea' in earth.
And 'ß' is just an 'ss' sound.
Just type it into Google translate and select 'Deutsch' as language. The robot lady pretty much nails it.

@@dembro27 Nah. The 'oo' in school is usually 'u' in german. Another example for 'ö' would be the 'o' in word for example.

The question mark thing is fantastic, it helps me a ton when listening to your videos.
I liked everyones' diplo attempts in this match. It was really cool. :) The alliance between red and teal was great. I genuily thought they would stay together till the final two. Orange was also a beast. At one point he was almost overwhelmed by dozens of yellow paladins, but held long enough to het help from his friends.
As for the orange's excess resources, first SantaBomb sent him a lot (including gold), then coshdie also sent him everything (including the wood he had gotten earlier from Santa). :) In the end I really thought that he had a pretty good chance of outright winning against red. Honestly I wouldn't mind if he just tried.
The last mangonel versus onager duel was funny. :) I think that reds' experience (1600 ELO) against the onager technology was enough to make it fair. 11 GG!
Edit: I enjoyed the concept of the limited eco, it made the fights rather intense a added a lot of weight to each mistake made by player in the game. You can't remplenish villagers (at least not that easy), but you can still compensate for it getting relics and trade carts. Also I enjoy crazy comebacks, so yellows' attempt to reboom after being almost dead made me glad (it's a pity he dropped).

I wonder how diplo games would go if there was a more reasonable "neutral" option:
- No shared vision
- No shared team bonuses
- No opening gates
- No attacking a neutral player. If a nation is attacked, that's called war and an enemy. Not neutral.
Maybe I'm being overly negative, but I've been getting a bit tired of diplomacy lately. All of the recent games seem to initially develop the same way: a one-hour truce where everyone stockpiles 5-figure resources before ganging up on one or two players and starting a 3v3. FFA or sudden death or more of the no-garrison mod would be nice to force them to be more aggressive than passive.
The premise of not being able to replace villagers is cool; I'd like to see that again.

If the monastery is full why does it just kick out a monk instead of giving the player a notification to say ANYTHING. They’ve has so many years to improve little things like this it makes the game very unfriendly for new players
Posting this at the intro to the vid, so this might play out or not. But I wonder if you just delete most of the villagers and then use maybe three spots - one for a mill and farms and one for a lumber camp and one for a few houses and then create start creating villas at the TC to take out the others...

Teal is more a christmas colour than grey is... At least teal has a bit of life in it.
I was thinking red, green and white as the traditional xmas colours but I admit it was a bit of a stretch!

One way to play this (or any FFA diplomacy game where everyone allies at the start) may be to hide some villagers in each of your ally's bases, garrisoning so others can't find them. You won't win, but you may be able to make someone else win if you have a big resource stockpile and play it like a deathmatch game, just spamming military (and houses).
red made a horrible mistake when taking teal by not making teutonic knights to combat halbs

Watching this in the wee early hours of Christmas morning while snacking and let out such gleeful laughter at Yellow's change of heart after siding with Blue. Their chat really cracked me up. They were confused, it was dark, maybe they thought teal looked like blue.
