    Dear sir, In Set C I have a doubt in question 33, 59 and 72. In question 33, by considering the sign the option would come out as 2 but when calculating delta G, the sign just means that the energy is available as free energy and can be used. Normally, more the negative delta G, we say the process has more Gibbs free energy change and hence more spontaneous. According to this, the option should be no. 3. In question 59, the first mammals i.e the prototherian mammals were found actually at the end of Permian and beginning of Triassic period ( as given in Books and taught in lectures), so accordingly the answer should be Triassic and not Tertiary period. In question 72, at least the ammonium sulphate set should have minimum concentration of protein in supernatant as ammonium sulphate "salts out " the protein and is used commonly in lab for this purpose. Accordingly, either the b or the d bar in graph should correspond to ammonium sulphate set and such an option is present only in option no.4 and not 3. Please can you go through these questions and options again and check if my explanation is right?

    What exactly is CSIR ? and if you make the cut off what happens ?

    • @ira6605
      @ira6605 7 лет назад

      It is an exam for getting research scholarship in India. On clearing the cutoff, the person can work as Junior Research Fellow in CSIR labs and other labs as well all across the country.

      +Ira Thapa so hypothetically you can just get funding via doing very well in this exam?

    • @ira6605
      @ira6605 7 лет назад

      Not hypothetically, this exam is conducted by Central Scientific and Industrial Research Council, India. Think of it as an exam to select budding researchers. Projects are separately funded by another process and we get hired to work on those projects through this exam. We don't get the funding, we get to work on funded projects. Also, the exam has two cutoffs. The higher cutoff applies for selecting Research fellows and the slightly lower cutoff makes you eligible to teach the respective stream at university level.

      +Ira Thapa wow, do you have to be Indian?

    • @ira6605
      @ira6605 7 лет назад

      Yes. But a lot of foreign nationals also come to work on CSIR projects, by some kind of collaboration. This would have a different procedure for each country I guess.
