Mile Svilar (born 27 August 1999) is a Belgian professional footballer of Serbian descent who plays as a goalkeeper for Benfica. As the third choice goalkeeper, Svilar was part of the Anderlecht first squad during 2016-17 season but he did not appear in any game. Svilar signed a five-year contract with Benfica on 28 August 2017, and took the jersey number 1. On 14 October, he made his Benfica debut in a 1-0 victory over Olhanense. He broke Iker Casillas's record as the youngest goalkeeper to ever play in the Champions League on 18 October 2017 against Manchester United aged 18 years and 52 days.

He gets down fast for a keeper and blocks Angles quite well, his technique going down wasn't correct but with game time he'll gain confidence and experience and mistakes like the goal where he brought the ball across the line won't happen. He is promising reminds me of de Gea when he first went to united physically weak but goof reactions and angle minimising. This kid has promise he needs to get taller and be stronger for corners especially in one of the moments Lukaku beat him and that can't happen u have to get your hands above the attacker if your one on one from corner/ set piece.

Fun fact: when fifa 17 came out, me and my friends bought the game and started a career mode with Manchester United. We were looking for young goal keepers in the game because we didn't wanted to Google potential players. After that, we found Svilar. He looks like a potential player and so we bought him.

ok, he's still too young and it was he's first international match. but he need to feel more relaxing (he played like if he had the weight of the world over his shoulders: keep calm boy!), he need to learn to serve his teamates, all "crosses" was for man utd players, and he have to stay in the right position during the free kick... the goal was a great goalkeeper gift for the red devils 👍 i loved another belgique gk: mr michel preud'homme. he was one of the bests!
