    Max Martin seems like the most unlikely pop producer. It's awesome.

    Big props to Shellback aswell. On my part, I don’t think he gets enough attention both as a music producer in general, but also in this song mentioned in the video. Shellback actually made the base of this song to make the song great.

      He is the greatest songwriter and producer in the history of pop more than anyone else.He Archived more Billboard N 1 than Lennon and McCartney.From '90 until today he wrote and co-wrote an incredibly number of smash hits for many artists.But in my opinion hit me on more time by the legendary Britney remains his masterpeace.It was maybe the most iconic song in the last 25 yerars.

    • @KA-eu9sy

      You can't compare him to the iconic John and Paul. But MM's range is crazy. From Britney to Taylor to NSYNC to BSB to Katy to The Weeknd to just every name you can think of ... MM has made hits for them...wrote/produced. That's quite a range. Yes, B1MT was the one that started it all.

    How awkward must it not feel for Shellback to sit there, knowing he is the basic creator of the song, and not even be acknowledged in the interview, Max is probably more accustomed to it, but it must hurt anyhow, Denniz Pop was a friend of mine and it kinda hurts when you see, so called charts around the net listing the greatest music producers and songwriters, sometimes Max is not even in the top 20, that to must hurt, must you beat everything to death to be recognized, just my thought's , what about Max's songs that sucked so bad , they where only in the top 40 of the world charts, what about that, it doesn't count or what? Get a life! All you music journalists out there! Cudos to Shellback, you are wonderfully talented to, have a great day everyone!

      That's like saying "McDonalds ruined eating". Opt out, baby. No-one forces you. Max Martin makes super catchy music for masses. Music to accompany a BigMac with fries.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Martin#Billboard_Hot_100_number-one_singles
      I love to eat and I love music. I neither consume franchise food nor franchise music. Max Martin ruined nothing.

      His music enabled a CORPORATE reaction. Music targeted youth ala McD's, flooding the market with addictive catchy music that kept you in a low-vibrational frequency/state/trance - easier/more agreeable to mindless consumption - targeted advertising. Ref - Mind Control /watch?v=qzcwL2uwGS4 Music/TV is filler, Advertising is the real show... Notice Batman (1996) & Star Wars Ep1 (1999) went in the way towards profit maximisation over art i.e. Selling toys

    • @trevorjonathan4405
      @trevorjonathan4405 6 лет назад +4

      Max Martin's production 1995'-2001' is simplified Prince - i.e. "We Can Funk" (85-90) & ""New Power Generation" (1990) www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/7702298/max-martin-prince-anonymous-pharrell-career-interview - Scary that the lyrics include:- "Pumpin' the big noise in the 90's" , "you've got to rearrange", " "we want to change the world" and this music was then used by Max to help usher in a new level of Pop, consumerism, profit maximisation..

    • @martinskanal

      Personally I happen to think MM´s music is dreadfully uninteresting. But I can easily understand his appeal just like I can get that people are hung up on mcDonalds burgers. I appreciate that he has a fascinating take on what mainstream audiences want and I respect him like I respect any guy who take pride in and display extraordinary skills in their work. But do I think the world is culturally richer because of him and his tunes? Hardly.
      Do I believe cynical profit maximization exists: yes. Do I think Max Martin is part of a sinister conspiracy that aims to apply mental control on people? Nope. But I do think he enjoys having success making core pop tunes that attracts great masses and I am sure he has a healthy cynical distance to what he does. His passion is (was?) metal, after all.
