Arcam sa30? I wonder how the new Arcam A5, A15 sound.? Your system sounds very good. Is Arcam your favourite? I see you have had Audiolab, Musical fidelity etc. I'm in the market for a new Integrated amp, can't decide. Rega is good probably also..
Yeah the sa30, its a great amp, definitely the arcam sound though. The sa30 worked really well with chario reference and quad s2 speakers. Ive not seen the a5/a15 ill have to check them out. I didnt like the audiolab, don’t recommend it at all, if your gonna spend £600 get the rega brio and stick a good dac on it. The audiolab was very bright, fairly weak on power, paint job was awful in black. The musical m2si has gorgeous tone, plenty of grunt but hasnt got great bass punch, a bit like the arcam tbh but more lively up top. Im using the old a85 diva atm which is very nice, especially for £150-£250 second hand. Im going to try a rega or exposure next i think, ive just picked up some mint ruark templar 2 speakers and fancy playing around. Have you had a demo of anything? I bought the audiolab on the strength of reviews in covid and sold it shortly after, it was a mistake i should have listened first, its an amp that gets a lot of hype but must really only work with wharfdales etc. Ive heard the brio and liked it a lot but wondered about the amps further up the line. I definitely fancy something a bit more lively next with more pace. What kind of sound are you after?
Yes! These were original. Very good speakers. It’s the only set of speakers that I’ve owned that i wish i hadn’t sold, always keeping an eye out for another pair.
@JoJanDiezel yes i do. The tweeter is upgraded and the crossover has better parts inside 👍🏻 the reference are a extremely good speaker if you can get a pair. I wish to this day that i never sold them, silly mistake.
