OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! I had this on VHS as a little kid like 20 years ago!!!
It’s astounding how many 1940 German operations were on a logistical knife’s edge.
Sources also show that Germany had only about 50% of the oil it needed to collect before WW2.

Polish calvary did not just charge German panzers with lances... That is a myth and wrong. Getting history correct is important.

He didn’t say that’s all the Polish did to fight against the Panzers, you imagined that.
@@flashgordon6670 No I know that's not ALL that was said. But the narrator directly said "the polish calvary had the impossible task of charging the German panzers with lances" which is entirely wrong and is a common myth about WW2. That not wtf happened, so they shouldn't claim it.
@@ht8520 No you failed to understand again. I never said the narrator said the Polish did more than that, that is what he said we both agree on that. But he didn’t say, that’s all the Polish did, you’re imagining things again that you thought the Narrator said and what I said.
The narrator is portraying the history using something called Artistic license, it’s what they do in films to condense the story and make a bigger impression. Rightly or wrongly as it maybe.
The truth is the Polish at that time we’re technologically outclassed by the Germans, however you want to cut it and the narrator is just condensing the story and creating an impression, for the sake of brevity and to make it easy to remember.
They do that all the time in history, for example they say the British defeated the French at Waterloo, but most of the British army was made of other nationalities.
They say Columbus discovered America, but the Vikings were there hundreds of years earlier and the “Native Americans” must’ve discovered it a long time before as well. They do it all the time so you shouldn’t get offended so easily by it. If anything it makes the Polish sound even braver, bc they were willing to fight against tanks with horses and lances.
The thought also occurred to me that perhaps the Polish had bombs on the end of their lances, just as speculation. Then it wouldn’t sound like the Polish were stupid as I think you’re complaining about.
The narrator also didn’t mention that the Polish were persecuting the German ethnic people in Poland, in the Polish corridor between Danzig and Germany and all the tensions between Poland and Germany and how Poland antagonised Germany in the lead up to WW2, but I bet you don’t want to talk about that do you?
You shouldn’t be such a delicate little snowflake and get so worked up over little details and then perhaps people wouldn’t invade your country so much.
@@flashgordon6670 time to teach you something, pay attention now lad: The charge at Krojanty (where this myth most likely comes from) was polish ulans charging a group of 800 german INFANTRY who were in the open (an actual calvary target), and they were successful in that task. German armoured cars showed up and they fell back immediately as they weren't dumb enough to engage them like that.

The Germans never used the anglicised term 'Blitzkrieg', they said 'Bewegungskrieg" - Movement war.

Because they were. Check out the Tank Museum's piece on the Ki-Ha. Like the Zero, by '42-'43 they both were obsolete.

The treaty of Versailles all but guaranteed another war
It hurts me to see soldiers made to goosestep. An infantryman relies on his feet and his boots. Goosestepping and foot slamming of any sort ruins both the feet and the boots! As soon as I see this abuse, I know the army will lose because the leaders are too dumb and careless to see the obvious.

Karma is real. The USSR invaded Finland. Finland later fought the USSR on the side of the Nazi's. Germany was not allowed to have any tanks at all after 1919. So , the USSR helped Germany build tanks in the mid-late 1930's. So, of course the Nazi's invaded the USSR. Karma baby, karma.

@@josedorsaith5261 ah, well from what I've heard... Overall well. Some losses because no tank is invulnerable but they seem to be performing well.
Edit: in 13 weeks they only lost 5 of the 71 that they received in Ukraine. 10 were in for repairs so still having 50+. This based on a report back in August
