This scene is so sad, he's watching his planet being destroyed and thinks someone like a mother to him is going to die and there is nothing to do about it. Halo reach was so amazing because of emotional scenes like this.
I love when games just show what they want to tell. Jorge, he's utterly shocked at what he sees. Explosions, loss of his home. All that is needed is that pause after Dot's comment. "Noble 5?" "... I know." What else is needed? This is what a mature game is to me. When it takes it's audience seriously.

To put Jorge's experience in a nutshell, this is like being a spaceman watching your home country lit up by nukes, and then realizing that the epicenter of the devastation is your home town, knowing full well that your family is still there. To add insult to injury, Jorge had just cut his teeth driving the enemy away from sword base only to see it go up in flames a few days later. He will also later die thinking that Halsey is dead.
I've always wondered if when Jorge collides with the Pelican after leaving the Saber while a marine is welding the slipspace engine to the Pelican and the sudden movement is what messed it up and fried the timer meaning Jorge would have to stay behind.
@Callum Macey Hungarian is often a bit hard to translate to english, as a hungarian I'd say "My heart breaks" would be the most accurate (there's a track even in the OST that's called after that)

Another reason why most species of the covenant deserve to be genocided.

exactly, an emotional story told by characters strong enough to not allow their own emotions to dictate their responses. amazingly written.
@@miles999- Summed that up perfectly. Exactly what i was getting at.

You don’t have much choice when you’re facing genocidal aliens and have no way to run from them.

It breaks my heart 💔
BUSHIDO Thankyou

Technically, it's at 0:32
Or “my heart is breaking”
0:37 Those are legit WMDs. The sizes of those explosions would erase entire cities.
this is old but considering how Reach is around 5-10% bigger than Earth and how huge the radius is, it’d be more like entire states being obliterated

This is a great scene.

Noble 5? Please repeat...
Anybody else remember the rumor that the space station is in the shape of the numbers 117?
I’ve never heard this, has anyone ever proved this?
Where those explosions nukes or a Covenant carrier classing the area?
Yes those were probably nuke explosions
Blackjaw the UNSC was losing ground.
Well if they were nukes we wouldn’t have needed the slip space bomb

@@gabenewell3955 nothing says the covenant dont also have some form of nukes. Maybe antimatter charges like in halo 2
