The air ambulance crash also killed one person in a vehicle on the ground. Both crashes are absolutely devastating for all involved and sorrowful for the nation.
The helicopter was restricted to a ceiling of 200 feet. I saw the air traffic control radar. The collision occurred at an altitude of 350 feet!
Should never have happened...the helo was supposed to be at 200 feet or less at that point, but the two aircraft collided at 325 feet...so the helo was flying above the level it was allowed to. We still do not know why the helo was flying outside the approved air corridor at that point.
There was a third incident at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. One person was injured. It was more of a collision than a crash.
Agree, but as a helicopter pilot, tough seeing plane right in front of you. Helicopter pilot(owner of crash) told Air Traffic Controller, "plane in sight." "Plane" was actually behind flight 5342 which's why said accident happened.
Unfortunately the person communicating with ATC was not actually the person flying the helicopter, but more her instructor. It's a tragedy all around!
The second plane crash was a medical transport plane, it was carrying two pilots, two nurses, a mother, and her child who was going through (I believe) cancer treatments. Considering there were probably oxygen tanks on the flight, that’s what caused the large explosion on impact (keep in mind, it crashed in a highly populated shopping district). God rest all their souls, especially that tiny angel 🕊️
The explosion and damage caused by the Philly plane is insane
The commercial traffic should never be at this facility, mixed up with military/official business. An expanded Dulles must be considered.
There was a pastor who was a relative of some people who died on that plane. And he’s acting so accepting about it and is trying to give advice to “help” other people accept the deaths.
I honestly think that’s so messed up.
The whole “be happy for them because they’re in a better place now” is extremely messed up in my opinion.
Making people feel like it’s wrong to grieve.
The helicopter pilot was wearing night vision equipment which limits vision too. And all this for a training exercise.
That's not been proven yet but if so would be a factor.
@ they were training using goggles, but we may never know if they were unless noted in the cockpit audio.
@ yeah. I've heard it speculated quite a few times. Never should have happened. Just awful
The way the helicopter flies straight into the jet means neither the pilot nor co-pilot saw the jet right in front of them. Where exactly were their attention pointed at where they didn't see something right in front of them. I understand that it's nighttime, but the jet still had flashing lights as well as ambient city lights shining off the white body. My guess is the helicopter pilot and co-pilots never knew they were going to fly into the jet because they weren't looking, their eyes (and attention) were elsewhere.
Everyone ooooohs and ahhhhs when those military planes do flyovers at college football games. I said "waste of money" and the reply was "they are getting their training in." Oh good, over 110.000 people. That's fucking smart. Of course I hate sporting events so I guess go for it.
The video you reacted to was AI generated, and was loaded with errors, including literal readings of the typos in the script, which was also AI generated.
anTEENa, Roo??sevelt, 6-7 PM, I hate it all
Wait for more information to come out before making judgements on the causes of this disaster and who was responsible. There's more to this story than meets the eye.
I believe that it was 2 or 3 days later there was another one. It was a Medi Vac plane. Yeah , it was like 30 secs after they took off. No matter how it happened its extremely sad . My heart goes out to everyone involved. Praying for their families of everyone who was affected. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes it was less than a min. 6 people on the plane, pilot, copilot, Dr., EMT, child patient and her mother, along with one person on the ground perished in the crash.
I did not watch this video, yet, but the Blackhawk pilot was 200% at fault. He was warned at least twice about the incoming jet, said he saw it, and was instructed to stay clear until the jet passed. Instead the Blackhawk fle MUCH HIGHER than his assigned path and flew into the front of the jet. The airliner did everything right. Edit: OK, watch the video. The stuff about misidentification is pure speculation. PAT25 was CLEARLY warned he was getting dangerously close to the airliner, about 30 seconds before the Blackhawk pilot KILLED 64 innocent people, not counting the crew of the helo.
How do you know they were innocent? Anyway, anyone can be wrong. Like you are wrong about their gender.
Will be interesting to see where it all falls out in the investigation. I wouldn't leave anything off the table including that the chopper pilot did it in purpose. For whatever reason. Be it mental health or something even more nefarious. Doesn't look like a mechanical problem because in the new clearer video you can see that the chopper made not maneuver whatsoever ever to get out of the way. The tail stayed steady on. At any rate changes are coming for how flight traffic is controlled.
It's early. There are information gaps, and there's lack of clarity on some of the _facts._ Be certain of one thing, though: It will be a chain of events/malfunctions/mistakes that led to the collision. I think it's referred to as _a perfect storm._ You can't trust YT simulations, especially this early. GIGO.
Wtf? Shouldn't have skipped the end!!!!! It was showing other flights that had dealt with the same conditions to help explain what had happened. DUH!!!!!! FFS!
All the people who say 'why is a military aircraft even flying beside a commercial aircraft'.. such as the comment read @13:50... So silly. Unm.. because it's the Airspace and that's where aircraft fly ? Or maybe because that's where the Airport is.. and All aircraft use them ? Or maybe even because that location is the Capital of the United States of America... Like, smack dab in the Government Seat of America? You have people asking why there is Military Aircraft, literally in the middle of Our Government Seat. Now granted .. there are lot's of questions we could ask or statements we could make... But that has to be the silliest on face value. That's like asking why is a lifeguard swimming beside a everyday swimmer ? Why is an ambulance using the same roads as regular ole' civilians? Anyway. Just wanted to say that is the least helpful of questions to be asking.
Sorry but the way you presented your logic is also wrong. You compare life guards and swimmers.
To passenger planes and military helicopter, which technically have nothing to do with each other. It is not like the helicopter is there to help in case of emergency. In case of this incident. They are actually their to train some kind of ViP training (at least what was told). So in this case your logic is wrong.
Why are your eyelids so red all the time??
She only had 500 hrs of training before being put in this position
That’s actually quite a lot
@@moonglow630 20 days is a lot?
@@dicerosautismambient4894 how do you get 20 days?
@@moonglow630 Ha, I'd end this before they make your head hurt.
@@moonglow630 I converted 500 hrs using google into days and it says 20.8 days so 20 days 20 hours.
DEI
Dumbest thing you could have said.
The new scapegoat of the brainless, blame everything on DEI
You realize that anything other then white, cis, straight dude in his 20~30s is "dei" right?
