    Just got this yesterday. Didn't know you had to go into forward programming to add safe. Good thing I was fine with it. The manual says nothing about it.

    The blades being like that is definitely an issue. As you noticed, when the heli wants to spool up, one blade moves first (the one that is loose). So when the heli is spooling up, it can lead to a tip-over (which already happened to you but it can be worse). I am not sure if that will cause blade tracking issues or not, probably not but still definitely has to be fixed. Both blades should be the same, not way too tight, not way too loose. You should easily move them by hand, but they should not move by themselves (its own weight). Second point I think your batteries and your ESCs are SMART. Dig through your manual. You should be able to configure to mAH consumption versus timer. That way you don't have to worry if you flip through flight modes, as the radio should tell you when you reach an X percentage of battery you set. Again, check your manual but I think your setup should be able to support that feature. Third point you really, REALLY need to get out of Normal mode. You can setup your flight mode 1 to have a lower headspeed. What happens is that when you start to try to fly inverted, if you are inadvertently on Normal mode, the lower end of the collective stick, which you use to give negative pitch, will now be throttling down the heli and you will crash for sure. And of course as someone else has already told you, you need to forget about stability mode. Now that you can hover tail-in you definitely need to get out of it and just use Rescue as needed. Fourth point. When you hit your tail and it dug into the ground, that is you your heli tilted up like that. You gave the stick inputs as if you had landed with the skids, but didn't take into account the tail was stuck into the ground. Just a heads up. Better to just spool down, walk and re-orient the heli back on its skids by hand. I hope these tips are helpful for you. Doing great and very happy to see your progression.

      Thanks a lot for all the tips and suggestions. I know i need to get out of normal mode but as of now i want to fly in both because i can’t afford to crash. I definitely noticed and didn’t like flying with the blades like that but didn’t have time to go home and fix that. Also didn’t have my tools with me otherwise i would have fixed it right away. I’m really liking no stability mode with 360 tho it seems a little easier to fly then the 230. Thanks a lot for your help!

      @@SlickBackAnt if you can’t afford to crash (hmmmm sounds like me hehehe) then if something doesn’t feel right then don’t fly. I know you have your packs charged and you made time to fly but just think how will you feel if you crash the Heli. You will come back home with charged packs AND a crashed Heli. Probably not worth it right? Get yourself a discharger or try to invest into a charger setup that has this feature. If you are short on budget then buy the least expensive for now and start saving up for a setup that will last you for even big 5000mAh 6S packs which you will get to eventually 😁 go to Amain or Helidirect or BK Hobbies or Anythingheli to find something already ready to go. There are other places to go for your future-proof setup but we will get to that eventually 😁

    My advice would be to forget about stability mode, it will make your learning faster. I flied with auto stabilization fixed pitch mini heli for a while before i went onto 3d collective pitch heli and realized i had to almost learn again how to fly it, because stabilization taught me some negative habits. Now i'm rather trying to master flight without stability. Simulator helped me a lot to get used to that new control without smashing the real heli too much into the ground.

      I agree, stability mode is slowing your progression. Work on all of your orientations first by sliding left and right to get used to looking at your heli at odd angles.

    I just discovered recently what I believe your problem is.
    In forward programming at the bottom of the screen does it say you have Gain or Gyro channel set to Gear?
    I believe if that channel is inhibited then all your changes apply to all flight modes.
    If you switch it to gear you will have to choose a flight mode then make changes. Hold is also considered a flight mode.
    Research that first, I don’t have my helis near to double check.
    New belt and tighten blades.
    Good luck.

    @petewatts30 Год назад +1

    In channel assign is gear assigned to exactly what it says in the manual, gear puts safe on your flight mode switch.

Then I saw the blade was broken so I fixed that and it still was spinning crazy so then Ive been doing a bunch of looking around and only think I can find that else it would be is the spindle so I ordered it. But the spindle inside looks fine so idk. The tail motor seems fine and I think the gyro is fine.

    Another quick comment. If you are short on budget, then make yourself a goal to save up for your hobby. Save what you can. What I do is that I separate a small amount each time I get paid and I put that in my budget and I transfer that to PayPal. Then as my PayPal balance grows, then I can either alleviate the cost of a crash or buy something I realize I need. Unfortunately as I have progressed I had to let go of models I really wish I had kept, but it was the only way: sell my current heli to buy the next one. But it is what it is. Also make sure that even if there is a beautiful heli that you want, understand that if you crash it and you have a set budget, it may take you months to repair it in a crash. Of course if you really, really want it, get it. I have a small fleet of Goblins, and my latest one took me months to build, but I love them. But for now as you are growing in confidence and have not yet managed to even fly inverted, it is a good idea to keep your models and invest in spares. Your models have excellent, low crash costs. Saving up just a little every pay period, taking care of checking everything and not flying when you don't feel right, will minimize your crash ratio and of course crash costs. Which may help you to buy some tool or equipment you need or stock up on spares or fund a crash.

    My NX8 does the same thing, I inhibited the switch in the setup mode, and at least it gives me stability in Normal mode now. Seems like transmitters may differ here and there as I've seen other videos where guys "Just do this and everything's fine!" Well, I follow them step by step, and my transmitter just won't do what theirs is doing! lol

    3.8volts x 3cells = 11.4, you re all good, you didnt over discarge it. However if you had overdischarged the battery by the past, the damage is already done and the battery cannot be charged like it used to. I am not an expert at battery chemical processes but my understanding is that something happens inside the cells if you overdischarge them
