I think the left part of the scientific notation is a decimal number i.e showing the decimal point. Eg 500 in scientific notation is written as 5.0×10^2.
I had been watching the lessons on logarithms, so my question is log x is or is not an algebraic or arithmetical quantity?can it take part in all kinds of mathematical operations?
