- Alexander Scriabin - Sonata No. 4 in F sharp major, Op. 30
Andante - Prestissimo volando
Live recording, Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, 1967 Видеоклипы
There is a few records only where Scriabin's Volando is heard really volant. This performing is one of them.
One of the best performances of this music!
I am playing this sonata myself and am dissapointed by many performances including Sofronitsky. This version is absolutely stunning! I love it that he takes so many risks.
I'd suggest Gilels, Berman, Fiorentini and, of course, this.
I'd also recommend Steuerman. Excellent. Especiall the temp and feel of 2. Prestissimo volando
Check Feinbergs performance out
Listen to Ivo Pogorelich in his 1990 recital...stunning!The best!
@@falamimire I like this one too.
3:53 Stanislav Neuhaus, an unknown legend.
This man was a true musician.
A TRUE one, you understand ?
Not this sort of robotic Mac'Donalds pianists of today, easy to eat, and after half an hour you feel sick.
This man speaks for himself, and for you.
And this is beautiful.
4:56 to the end.
Anguish, complete anguish. But this agressive and indecent Beauty .....
Its sooo authentic.
Love this piece. Впервые услышал эту сонату от Файнберга.
Welcome back!! Thanks a lot for this!
Thanks Andre!
I rank this performance among the finest and most inspired I have heard of this piece, together with those of Sofronitsky, Freire, Cherkassky, Gilels and Feinberg.
(Don't forget Sergei fiorentino,)
Stanislav Igolinsky!! 4th sonata!!
Berman?
Lazar Berman the second most powerful pianist. Mikhail Pletnev the most powerful. Berman his piano sound not suitable for Scriabin
@@RaineriHakkarainen I disagree that they are the most powerful. Don't forget Zimerman and Volodos.
Merci beaucoup!
Magical......
Completely Scruabine, rubato and the sonority , and the balance of melody to harmony. WHAT a healthy contrast to Pogo.....!
Superb:)
I was listening following my score and I did not look at the description. During the last 2 bars I have said "holy shit, what an amazing performance" (not think to myself, I really said it). Then I listened the audience clapping and I was like... how??? this is live???
Sometimes the best performances are the live ones or the ones in which the performer plays from the heart. I agree it's a wonderful performance.
0 dislikes, people have good taste it seems :)
Благодарю!!!

I'm not sure why I used to think I didn't like Scriabin...
You have seen the light! :)
You have seen the light... along with the colours obviously! I’m planning a Scriabin festival in NZ for 2022... he’s always been my favourite composer and I am keen to give him a big 150th birthday present!
@@SherryGrant Did you end up doing it?
@@mysterium364 yes it was rather successful. People who join Scriabin Society of America as member can access the presentations and concerts from the Scriabin 150 festival in Nov 2022! I’m the SSA International Liaison now…
О, да!
Komponist und Interpret: Viel Größe und Schönheit
Iz drugogo mira! Spasibo!!
Do you BECOME Neuhaus? I d like to know if you gave me the studio. I am HOT SEAT.
I like it mostly, but it gets a little muddy, which could be the recording technology. I still prefer Laredo's recording for overall phrasing and coherence.
