    We can get pure water from the air, or solar energy to vaporize the ocean water and condense to the pure water, or fog net to get pure water, thanks for your inventory and you can do more than before

    Some people have illnesses and their feces are toxic. However, all the feces would go only in one way which is the washroom. What happen If we drink the extracted water from these feces ? Are they safe enough as bottle water?

    • @CriticallySelected
      @CriticallySelected  3 года назад +5

      Well, all feces contain pathogens regardless of a person being ill or not. The Omni Processor goes through a series of stages to filter out and kill all the pathogens in the feces first before the water can be drinkable. So, yes it is safe to drink, but only when the water has been extracted and filtered multiple times!

    There's one glaring issue I see with this (aside from it being f-ing disgusting), namely conservation of mass.
    AFAIK, human body does not _produce_ water from other sources. My basis for this is mainly that you can (supposedly) survive weeks without food, but only a few days without water. If your body was capable of constructing water from hydrogen and oxygen, you could replace your water intake with proper diet - but you can't.
    Another thing is that, your body does not produce mass, only reconstructs it. And as far as we know, nothing in the universe can _produce_ mass. So 2 litres of water go in, 2 litres of water go out. 1 kg of food goes in, _eventually_ 1 kg of waste goes out. And that's assuming none of it _stays_ in your body, which is demonstrably not true.
    So let's assume you drink 2 litres of water. You then poop and pee into the magic machine to retrieve that water... assuming you can have a 100% efficiency rate, can you get back those two litres of water?
    No. Why? Because part of that water escapes via sweat, tears and breathing. Among, I assume, other things. So _assuming_ the machine gets _ONE HUNDRED PERCENT EFFICIENCY RATE,_ you are still going to _lose_ some of that water. Considering no machine is ever 100% efficient though... you get the picture. You get _maybe_ 60% of consumed water back, then you still need to build proper facilities to filter either saltwater or fresh/rainwater. In which case, you can just skip the whole poop water thing, and just go for proper facilities in the first place and allow people to have some f-ing dignity. Especially considering that building all the infrastructure for the poop water thing on an industrial scale is probably not going to be much cheaper anyway.
    Not only that, but they are also trying to convince me that they can have all that and still have energy to spare to power the electrical network, as rudimentary as it might be? This BS belongs in the same category as the "Pay me $100 on kickstarter and I will produce a magical fan device that you stick into the ground, and it produces water out of thin air, thus ending the water shortage in third world African countries" scams.

      And also, what happened to the renewable energy sources? Weren't fossil fuels supposedly the worst evil on the planet? What do you think you will produce when you burn all that poop? What do you think you are burning when you burn organic matter? (psst, it's _carbon_ )
      Is Billy there trying to tell me that solar panels can't produce enough energy to power his mystery poop machine?
      In the middle of f-ing _AFRICA?_
      Tsk, tsk, tsk. How very regressive of him.

    I don't really care that the water went through somebody else it already does that all the time peolpe just don't care to know about that part of the water cycle and get disgusted and prefer to flush and forget. in developed nations after using highly energy-intensive sewage treatment we then dump the now clean water back into the river and then Downstream purify it again and then drink. This is a highly inefficient way to do things and a waste of money and not to mention that money comes from taxpayers and ratepayers
