When you opened the box, I thought you had nicked my collection. All I could see was The planets, Bowie and Kate Bush. Then you went on to show Bahaus and Joy Division along with the original Tubeway Army and Siouxsie and the Banshees. I like your taste in music. There was me thinking my taste in music was unique 😃.
Joy Division, David Bowie, Oasis, Moby, the 90's electronica (Moby, Fatboy Slim, Underworld), Dido, Ray of light... quite a lot of music we both love!!
Hi, tubeway army is very much known in the belgian new wave scene. Gary numan has been very popular over the years in Belgium. Saw him two years ago with his latest album and it was great ! But I got to know him with Cars and Are friends electric.
Kate, you’ve got such a wide group of musical genres. It shows your open mind. From Gustav Holst to early Gary Newman and everything in between. Marvelous 💿🎵🎶
You’re right, it is brave to show your musical or literary taste! People take it very seriously when they don’t feel like you’re enjoying the “right” things. Quite silly. Lol. I think your CD collection is great though! It reminds me of what my mom used to play for me when I was growing up.
i will never forget ...i heard ,,LIVERPOOL,, first on turntable as vinyl record....with GDR headphone called RFT , Unser Favorit,.....was like a journey into another world... i payed about 200 eastmark or so ..i bought it to my birthday early 1987. 2 years befor the wall falling....200 EM was a lot, the averige monthly salary was about 500 EM ( 150 EM was 10 DM ) to this time or so. and it was not easy to get the album . that was another time ,another country but cool too

Having lived my teenage years in the 80s, funnily enough my music collection is almost identical to yours. I congratulate you on your superb taste in music 😂🤣 x
Tube way army was first released in 78. They were really diff weren't when they first come out. I remember buying the single our friends electric on 45 vinyl. I love Seth Lakeman. The Planets by Holst by the Berlin philharmonic is another I had.too. I'm a big underworld fan. I think we may have similar music tastes Which is eclectic If I like it I like it. I really enjoyed this video, Kate! I loved looking at all the CDs you have in your collection. You have very good taste in music. There were a few UK bands I didn't recognize, but most of them I knew. Looking forward to the 2nd video to this. Was wondering if you still have any cassette tapes? That would be nice to see as well.
I don't have any cassettes at all. I wasn't a big cassette fan really. I generally bought vinyl and then s/moved on to CDs when they came out. I did tape the Top 40 off the radio though during the 70s/80s!
