As a lefty, videos for right-handed crocheters just confuse me, lol... I'll keep trying from the written directions I guess. I love the look of this, and I'm trying to make your tiny berry dog sweater 😊

Thank you for the clear instruction. You need the details to get the right look looking forward to the new pattern. It reminds me of Trinity stitch in knitting. It would make a good afghan as well.

I used this on a pair of slippers and it is such a pretty technique😊

Do you just crochet the hdc row through the stitches, as you normally would?

I just started this pattern and I was having some trouble with this tutorial. I had to frog my work 4 times in the first 5 rows (and the yarn I picked doesn’t frog well at all), but I did figure it out. So some notes in case it helps anyone:
    1. She skipped showing how to crochet the third row, the video cuts straight to the end. Be aware.
    2. She said to keep your working yarn on your side and I assumed that’s the rule for the every row. But it isn’t. You must keep the tail on the inside when you sl st, and on the outside when hdcslst. If you keep it on the inside all the time your edges will turn out wrong.

Is it possible for you to show us a couple more rows. I get totally confused when you do that extra stitch to even up the bottom. I have tried and tried and tried to do this my name should be Penelope as often as I unraveled it.

For row 3, I feel like the video skipped showing over the hdcslst row again and it sounds like it was another just slip stich row into the 3rd loops. You may want to double check that... unless I am not understanding corrently.

I agree the third row is where I get completely confused. I wish our teacher would slow down and give us a couple more rows would be so helpful.

It may be helpful to you to go to her website.
After you complete the slip stitch
Turn and start the half double crochet slip stitch
Turn the fabric towards you and you'll see another row of stitches this is where you put your half double crochet.
I'm still confused about when to do the slip stitch at the end of the row I end up with one too many
I hope this helps you it took me forever to figure that

I can't do this. I can't see that back stitch! I've been at this for at least an hour.
