- This week, stoked to feature the Jackson Audio Optimist - the signature pedal of Cory Wong!
The Optimist features two overdrives of the Klon variety - one with that signature mid hump and the other with a flatter EQ profile. You can stack them or use them individually, and you also get to tap both switches for a three band baxendale EQ mode to boost the frequencies to account for your amp and guitar of choice, or use it to cut room surgically for your guitar leads in a mix or live! This gives you 4 different sounds that can be like channels in an amp, it's so killer.

Overdrive 1 is Klon style. Overdrive 2 is a Bluesbreaker style. All the reviews and manufacturer info make that clear. How could you possibly miss that? I wish it was 2 klons though. 🤷🏻♂️

Everything I’ve heard says that OD2 is more like a a Timmy. Is that the same as a blues breaker?
