It was a surprise concert...for fans..n jk was the 2nd artist of the history who performed there
This is a surprise concert from him and it's free. Army knows that he will perform in NYC but they don't know where. Somebody saw the stage being prepared and they guess JK will perform there so everybody headed there. The actual announcement only been made 30 minutes before the concert.
This concert also to promote his album which was released a week before the concert.
BTS members always introduced themselves as member of BTS. They said before that BTS is 7.
The members also talked about how much they missed each other during this solo era.
Jungkook released a fan song.
Never let in june 2024
And company didn't promote it.
They just posted it on twitter.
And dipped.
Jungkook said he recorded never let go just 2 - 3 days before going to military.
He said he wanted to do house dance choreography on it but he didn't had time.
No music video.
Even without promo never let go gets 7.7 million debut streams on spotify.
And then company released lyric video of never let go after 5 days of its release.instead of releasing on the release day.

The album was released just 1 week before the performance.

It's True, it was a surprise performance, and free for ARMY. There was only 30 minutes notice. Jungkook dropped a fan song called Never Let Go on June 7, 2024. He recorded it before he enlisted in the miitary on December 11, 2023. And his agency released it for ARMY right before FESTA (BTS's yearly anniversary celebration). JIN was released on June 12, 2024, and did FESTA performances on June 13, 2024. BTS will come back together this year in June 2025. Also, another thing that happened on December 18, 2024 was that Jungkook took leave from his military service for the holiday, and went on their social media platform, Weverse, and did a livestream with ARMY. It was a spur of the moment, unnanounced livestream. He did Karaoke and responded to ARMY's comments. He got over 20.2 million views during the livestream, during the 2 hours and 24 mintues he was online, To put it in perspective, this year's Grammy performance only had 16 million views. JK is that powerful, and popular.
By the way, the crowd (ARMY) didn't fumble anything. They are doing fan chants, which are parts of the song meant for ARMY's to sing. And BTS *DO NOT* have a fanbase name for their solo work. They always refer to their fans as ARMY. As they should.

Why wouldn't JK or BTS choose an artist and potentially aid them with a come up. BTS were underestimated underdogs once. Yes, you have aright to your opinion. However, only JK and his team know the whys and what fors. Seven is one of his biggest songs. LOTTO matched his explicit side of this song, too.

JK put alot of collaborators on his album. The american music industry pushes back against BTS. They have even had number 1 s with 0 radio play. They dont pay for radio( its illegal BUT all the american major labels do) So when BTS collaborate withn people signed to american labels they get radio play. We get to hear them. Once they do its new BTS fans. Who they collaborate with is irrelevant, though though JK must have liked something he heard from her. JK and BTS has worked with Niki Minaj etc

I don't see how you could charge when it's literally outside anyone there could watch its middle of Tmes Square. Taylor had a world tour, so yeah, it would be no surprise she would be top. They only notified people that day about him performing if they had too much notice, and then you would have too big of a crowd. BTS does not have a separate name for fans for solo. They are always Army. BTS do not pick based on who you think is best rapper it is who they want to work with. Lotto literally won the lottery with JK she would never get billboard number 1 on hot 100 without JK. I think her rap makes more sense for the explicit version of Seven.

To be fair, JK's solo international exposure beyond ARMY when Seven was released was nowhere near what it became due to Seven. The less exposed JK originally envisioned Seven as his only release prior to entering the military so selecting a recognized but lower tier artist such as Latto who I assume was presented to JK by HYBE America does not seem overly surprising. Once Seven exploded, HYBE America recognized, pardon the pun, a golden artist and cajoled JK into choosing songs from their song book to release an album. It was after Seven that they presented a string of A listers from feature artists to song writers to producers and more to promote and advance JK as a global artist singing in English.
Stop crediting JK success to others it was JK's choice to debut as a global artist it was his choice to do an english album and he was the one who choosed all the songs presented to him , JK was and still the most popular among his members in BTS but he has a character and a tendecy to avoid the spotlights and being exposed to media play or work on his artist image as most bts members do in diffrent ways ( fashion exposer, humanitarian and cultural exposer, drama,ost ..etc ) that's why when his success exploded Army espacially didn't accept it and started using stupid nonsens narrative just to belittle him and make other seem more credible and authentic "according to them of course" , BTS are all great artist each in his own fild and own style that's why I don't understand why everybody doing their possible to make jK look less than his hyungs ? why everybody is happy when another member gets numbers, awards and good critics but they try to twist everything when it is about JK !!!

Watch JK in his own words discuss his basically taking a break before being encouraged to engage a collection of songs to choose from because Scooter Braun and his HYBE America cohorts saw his potential to be a huge artist. People who think this belittled him need to listen to Paradise, Tomorrow or even So What. In your JK love, you seem more based on seeing detractors in people who love JK for the quirks of his unique humanity and human aspects of his journey. While OT7, JK is the member I actually feel most connected to so your expecting my experience of his growing up from a middle school student to a military inductee to be identical to yours is kind of you operating from a bubble. I love JK for who he seems to be, not as a who from BTS is more popular than the other. I will leave that to fandom wars which sadly involve detracting from OT7 and finding which chart can be used to promote their need to say their favorite member is better. This is how politicians operate. I simply like keeping things 100 which means I love artists, and certainly JK, not as a top tier Idol but as a top tier artist that operates with a sea of personnel dedicated to making him a top tier global artist. Loving someone who after what now is a decade of following him does not involve me showering him in accolades, but loving him like the family member he feels like from being in my living room almost every day for a decade. Sorry if my experience doesn't meet your narrative, but I don't experience him with starry eyes. I experience him as a human, and I love him with however his humanness is expressed whether it is a car crash or an Artist of the Year Award.
