    I just found a few great scrap lumber sources. At the back of homey depot and lowes, they have an area where they cut lumber for customers. Near those cutting stations are big trash bins of scrap!! I always ask employees before I dive, though. My husband is mortified when I do it, but it's so fun. 😂

    Bird shit is good luck. Desk is awesome. Thanks for inspo. I was giving a coffee & end table & want to make my own but have been scared paint wouldn't adhere to it. I love spray paint seeing ur results is giving me confidence to jump all in. Hope u had a wonderful Christmas.

      You could take a soft 200 grit sand paper lightly scuff it all. Get the bullseye and spray paint it. Then you could hand paint whatever chalk paint you want or spray paint it will for sure stick!... I agree with the bird poop..hahaha

    Bless your 'pea pickin heart' I'm stuck with one of those foldable tables to craft on, but running a business & RUclips channel like you, unimaginable. Anyway, Blessings for 2024! The dandelions were fantastic & I'm inspired to do more art copying now. Loved the Stay Positive sign & the framed crate with that beautiful teal, wow! And using the crates for a planter, and the owl, and the mica powder wood stain riser, and the porch table (extra wow!), etc., etc.

    Love all of these! I needed this video and the laughs! I have a ton of scrap wood I get from a friend that has a custom cabinet shop. He lets me go through the scrap wood pile, and he uses the really good wood.

    This was an amazing video! And….I loved the bird turds🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t stop laughing but I did bc I needed to pay attention. I watched you work magic on our 70” tv. You are the BEST in creating and teaching. I’m interested in learning to paint on canvas so maybe next year? Anyway I’m going to try (Bob Ross style)🤣🤣🤣 I can’t draw a straight line or a circle.     Do you sharpen your miter shears? Mine don't "chomp" like yours do and feel like I am trying to cut with a butter knife

    When u decopodged u uses a sponge to damp it was it slightly wet or dry ? I've seen u do this before but never asked ! Love your work especially your painting very nice ❤

    You did an amazing job blending, and both the desk turned out awesome especially the one you used unicorn spit on, and the handles that got crackled by the heat it added character to the piece, loved all the diys , you are simply amazing at what you do.     I love your videos and get so much inspiration! FYI if you set the glue blob aside and let it dry a little more you can roll it into a little therapy ball. I am the person who rubs craft glue on my palm just to let it dry and peel it off…..

    Hi Brandi. Dollar Tree has nail clippers for dogs. It works amazing for cutting wood and other things. $1.25 well invested 😊 Haven't bought the miter shears yet.

      Believe it or not those are from IKEA! There is one in the state over from me where I grew up so I pop in there from time to time!

    To remove staples there is a tool carpet installers use that looks like a screwdriver but at the end there are two curved pieces. I got mine at Home Depot.

    What do I use to seal chalk paint on wood? I'm going to paint my dining table & I hear chalk paint is the best. Is that true?

      Chalk paint is amazing depending on the quality! I love DIY paint and dixie belle for furniture! Water-based poly is good for a top finish that will get a lot of wear. I would use the brush on kind and use a synthetic brush! Deff don't use a sponge brush applicator. That's what I would do, but different strokes for different folks ya know!!!

    Where I live, as a child we would blow on the dandelion fluff and say however many seeds blew away was going to be the amount of children we would have when we grew up… luckily I don’t have fifty something children. Only three. 😂
