  • Today I'm sharing how to make a backdrop stand out of PVC pipes. This one is a double backdrop stand which allows for more greater customization than a single stand. This is perfect for a party, to be used as a display or a backdrop for pictures. Decorate it to your liking and it will be a great addition to your event.
    Thanks for watching! 💕
Supplies you will need can be found at Home Depot, Lowe's, or similar stores. They will likely be able to cut the PVC pipes for you. If not, you can cut them with a manual cutter or electric saw/blade ~
7 - 10 foot long PVC pipes with a 1" diameter, cut as follows:
    3 - 96"
    4 - 48"
    4 - 36"
    4 - 24"
    4 - 6"
    6 - 1" X connector pieces
    8 - 1" elbows
    2 - 1" caps
    2 - 1" complex connectors (from Amazon) amzn.to/48igECc
Spray paint or paint is optional but recommended.
    Fabric or curtains for draping
Any other decor you want to use

Do you know how much weight it can hold. Like can it hold heavy drains and balloons

I'm not sure how much it can hold but it is strong. I think it could definitely hold a lot of balloons. Heavy-ish draps most likely yes, but again, I'm not exactly sure.

What was your budget for this project?

I didn't have a budget. :) Each pvc pipe was about $8. The corner pieces were about $1.50 each, the 3 pronged pieces were about $2 each. The x pieces were about $5 each. The stoppers were about $1. The multi piece is whatever Amazon is charging right now.

@@RandomBitesofaSweetLife I'm curious why you used the X with stopper mid way up on the front support instead of a T?

I had this same question…but it seems like now it’s cheaper to buy a stand because these stores might be on to us diyers😩😩. Ive been watching tons of videos to make my own, only to come to the realization that I’d be paying double if I made my own

The multi piece is whatever Amazon is charging right now. I hope that helps. It might be more cost effective to buy one but I couldn't even find a double stand to purchase. Whatever works for what you're willing to spend or make. :) Thanks for commenting.
