Yes sir! Always hand test any rocks in this position. Even that doesn't mean your safe. And a hand test could loosen them for a later fall. Gold makes u do stupid stuff.
I don’t know so thought I would ask are you in bear country there and do you have a spotter while you’re under water. Also if there were bears would they just run and jump on top of you thinking they have just found the ultimate fish. I’m unsure as I am from Australia and we only have two types of bears koala slow and sleep 23 hours a day and drop bears which are extremely deadly and kill more people than snakes in Australia.
Bears aren't to bad at our claim only seen one from a good distance away. The dredge motor is loud a well. But we try not to work alone. Pistol on site always. Always a risk involved. I m sure a rock would get us before a bear. Rocks are a constant danger.
