I absolutely love the transparency of the development process these guys are using. I really hope they succeed and bring this truck to market. I will buy one if they beat Alpha to market (who seems much more focused on flashy renderings and videos).

Nice to see AirShaper evolution Wouter. Many compliments. Alex. Actually our small design studio applied for a patent for a chassis & vehicle body for compact LCVs. We will see how and where it goes.

It'll be great to see where this goes! I wonder if you'd be able to design something like an easily removable front or rear fairing to smooth the flow. Aero is the only big issue I see with Telo, so this collaboration will be exciting!

The VAST majority of PUs in North Texas area (the urbanized areas) are filled to the brim with HUGE PUs - with one person driving and nothing in the back (same as the sedans, etc.) We need smaller vehicles and the beauty of the EV platform is that the needs of ICE are no longer design constraints. Exciting to have people approaching vehicle design with this in mind!

...and reducing the footprint per person or vehicle makes room for more public space, more green areas, ...

Truck looks good and unique. What is cost to manufacture and feasibility. Will need lots of money unless it's very simple from manufacturing standpoint. Please don't turn out to be NKLA 2.0.

How does a frontal crash look like with virtually no crumple zone? This thing would have to go through crash testing before it becomes available to the market.

It's got 14" of unobstructed crumple zone

Looks nice but that is a small market. Big city adventurers.
Most cities are poor and the number of those who can afford this will be a small percentage. You can't store anything safely in the back.
I do like it though. Nice design

I think you are wrong. Judging by the feedback this truck gets, it is likely to be in huge demand - worldwide, not only in the States.

But the Front Tires? That seams not optimal. The turbulences there are probably so chaotic, a simulation wont work. I can’t imagine that the airflow is able to transition to laminar after it. The airtunnel behind the tire, may help a little bit. Put this thing in a windtunnel before going any further with this design. Would be my suggestion. And check europe's regulation with open Tires. Im definitely a potential customer for this car. But have the feeling this will never be allowed in EUs regulatory madness.

Correct, those tires are a key area in the current aero developments

You guys only have a prototype hanging on strings. How come you know the price for which the real truck will be selling?

Another joke of a "truck" made by engineers who don't know the first thing about ranching, farming, hauling, and other blue collar jobs. Looks like a real pretty grocery getter for the ladies, though. I mean, not self-respecting country women who actually work, but some women I suppose.

I guess if you have more specific feedback or even suggestions on how the design could be improved, they might be interested?

Another problem is once the load gets that small, a van is better. I like this truck but I couldn't own it because my Tacoma 2.7L 4x4 pushed to the limit is much more capable.

    • @artsmith103
      @artsmith103 7 месяцев назад

Maybe a 2 truck family, this one and a real one. But I think a light van would be better 2nd vehicle.

The ladies where I live drive GMC Sierra Denali AT4s and Ford F350 Super Duty King Ranches, they sometimes scrape their rims going through the Starbucks drive thru. As a man who has a farm truck (Toyota Tundra, it's a 5.7 just like all the filthy Ram Classics I regularly see parked upside down in ditches), I would love to get this truck if it comes to market as advertised. That's a big ask though.
