    I was dx with Pustular Psoriasis a decade ago. Palliative care was a cream steroid and to wrap my hands and feet in Saran Wrap every night....in perpetuity. It only took one night to know I wasn't going to live like that. Long story short, I take NAC and frankincense every day. I have zero symptoms or signs of my rare type psoriasis. The last time I was at a dermatologist for a rash from a plant, she asked me how I knew I had pustular psoriasis bc there was no evidence on my body. I told her I had managed my psoriasis using NAC & frankincense. She said there was no way I ever had it then. I showed her photos of my hands and feet. She was incredulous. Then she told me to stop taking it bc it could possibly make my rash worse.... She's Pharma trained, so I expected nothing less. I can also vouch for the effects of NAC on the lungs (I have an allergic asthma). I take no pharmaceuticals.

      It is so frustrating that our medical doctors have their hands tied by the FDA! They will never acknowledge the alternative therapies that either relieve the suffering or eliminate the disease. I learned that years ago with my rheumatoid arthritis…….I have taken a medication from Europe for 45 years now that put my RA in remission so I am not crippled by it at all. But the rheumatologist said he will never advocate for something that FDA didn’t sanction. Sad! I haven’t been back for 43 years!

    You need to use NAC with glycine. Glycine is needed to balance methylation , brain chemistry and various other things including glutathione production. Raising NAC levels may drain glycine stores. Always balance your supplementation with cofactors. Like vit D is best when used along magnesium and K2. Balanced body chemistry matters.

    • @Keithzzzzt
      @Keithzzzzt 5 месяцев назад

      @@UncleDavesKitchen hhmm...my earlier posts didnt seem to go through. Glycine will only " potentially " further kidney stones if you are dehydrated...but thats true for anyone, regardless...dehydration concenyrates urine and minerals...otherwise its really beneficial to both the liver and the kidneys and for methylation. Do a pubmed search on glycine benefits for liver and kidneys. Its good for brain health too. Taking extra potassium citrate and magnesium citrate will keep calcium in solution and prevent oxykate stones from forming and good hydration is a must. If you do that you will not have any problems. Glycine TMG , choline ( egg yolks) , berberine, curcumin are all liver super stars. Tmg and glycine also support methylation in the liver that potentially has been damaged by fatty liver or alcohol. Berberine will positively modulate the liver and help clean out fat and lower fatty acid synthesis. Take berberine with food or supplemental psyllium as it will knock back bad bacteria in the gut ( which is great) but a little fiber will mop up dead bacteria and die off reactions. Do not fear glycine...embrace it but supplement wisely and stay really hydrated with a little extra electrolytes like potassium, magnesium and sodium. Get on pubmed and research all this and you will see the wisdom in glycine, tmg, choline and berberine supplementation. Cheers.

    I started taking it several years ago 600 mg a day first thing in the morning. Had to drink lots of water tried to drink at least 8 ounces when I took it. It really made my stomach feel bad but if I would drink lots of water, then I was fine. After about a few months , not really sure how long my partner did not tell right away that I smelled different. He noticed my body odor is different. I figured it was probably the supplements I was taking. Did not know which one yet. One evening I walked into my bedroom and I could smell a different odor it was winter no windows open. Doing my research people were complaining about the odor of the NAC pill but no one said they noticed their body odor smelling different. Now it took a while for my partner to tell me, my body smelled differently. Anyway it did go away after a couple months so I figure it was the liver detoxing. I was in the early 70’s then. So I figured my old liver must have needed detoxing. Mostly I take it every day it is great for mood, mind, and body, yes a miracle supplement!!

    Is it okay to keep taking NAC if you have cancer? I wasnt sure, but i read that NAC increases glutathione, which might help tumors grow. My doctors have given conflicting answers...

    • @pacmanfl
      @pacmanfl Год назад +1

      It depends on the primary tumor site. From the studies I’ve read, I would be hesitant if I had liver, breast, or lung cancer. Some cancers can get worse when oxidative stress is reduced which can happen when taking NAC. Cancer is a tricky beast.

      Isn't glutathione the basis for the immune system? I heard they work well taken together.

    • @UncleSaulsa

      Cancer cells seem to feed off fermented sugar and fermented glutathione. There's people curing their cancer by 1 cutting out the sugar completely, and 2 taking a drug called DON that inhibits the glutathione temporarily and then the cancer cells starve and die after doing hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 2.9 atmospheres I think. So yes I believe they feed off glutathione. Would recommend researching this on skool there's a group called keto for cancer. They have some good results!

      I would leave it the same personally. Taking with glycine can be helpful. If your going through that extent I would recommend taking SAG. Here is more info... store.nuvisionhealthcenter.com/products/s-acetyl-glutathione?_pos=2&_sid=e9778c8bf&_ss=r

    I used to take NAC daily but discontinued when I noticed a strong sulfurous smell upon opening the bottle one morning. Hydorgen sullfide is part of the chemical formula but it is also very toxic even at low levels. Has anyone else ever noticed this and should I have discarded the bottle and bought a new one?
