"And the next candidate who doesn't let you down. Will be the first" The only true thing said in this video.

I live in one of the few countries that has compulsory voting. It is also one of the few where you do not have to produce any form of identification when you come to vote. You state your name, the polling booth official fines your name, asks you to confirm your home address. You are then asked if you have previously voted in this election. You answer No and are handed your ballot papers. Ah Democracy! The right to vote one of the greatest privileges !

Look there will be other election. 1:24
If she can survive the next 5 years. Choosing the right leader for a country that has hundred of nuclear missle is very important and also that doesn't went all power hungry and do anything to get elected for a second term.

If you don't bother to vote, then you have no business griping about anything. Because you tacitely accepted the result, whatever it ended up being.

Number one : It's a TV SHOW , Fantasy . Number 2 : Yes Democracy is Flawed . The reason WE have so many FLAWED POLITICIANS that BREED FLAWED POLITICS is ...... : WE THE PEOPLE allow it .
Madam Secretary didn' t take that path in her little speech to her daughter .

I came late to the party on this one so have been binge watching for the last month. When I started watching I thought it's OK nice fluff tv, but the writing has gotten better and the storylines have more bite. Now on Season 5 and can honestly say it would be a tie between her and Bartlett if I had a vote. The Mexican immigration 2 parter was especially poignant.

I admire the quality of 「Madam Secretary 」
No other country can produce a program as good as it .
The prime - time program s on Japanese commercial TV are full of childish and stupid comedy shows that are trying to make the Japanese people morons .
Japan's commercial broadcasters are the epitome of incompetence , ineptitude and irresponsibility

Yeah, in the later seasons of the show, I came to dislike Allison's character more and more, especially as she became the archetype for millennials.

Propaganda... promoting democracy, the importance of voting, and honoring those who sacrificed themselves for our freedom? Oh, the horror.

Propaganda to chose Elizabeth Warren , to chose her as president , to chose her as the First woman president of US. Before that it was done in House of Cards for Hillery Clinton. To show everyone that a woman can be a president. 😁

@bill bixby Honestly don't understand your comment, maybe because I'm not American. Are you saying that Bush used the invasion of Iraq to somehow promote voting? Or are you saying that he justified invading by saying that it was important to promote democracy and voting? If the second, are you saying that no one can promote democracy or voting anymore because Bush made an incorrect and flawed decision almost 17 years ago and explained it that way?

@@ty814 To be fair, the casting for the show was long before Elizabeth Warren announced her run. I think that they do look a little similar, but that could have happened with any actor or actress. I think that women can be great presidents and seeing how the population is about half male and half female, presidents in tv and movies should start to move in that direction, even if it takes real life some time to catch up.
Saying that a woman in a role is propaganda to choose a woman for president is as silly as the reverse - that a fictional male president will make people vote in real life for a male candidate. I'd like to think that the general population puts a bit more thought into their vote than that.
