Hi everyone! Thanks so much for watching this last minute review! Remember, this is just an *overview* of important topics, and it doesn't cover everything on the exam. thanks for all of your videos. the chart you made based on page 204 of the CED was most helpful. is there any way to figure out from CED (or anywhere else) which units the 6 FRQ will be coming from?
Unfortunately it's a guessing game at this point. Since there will be so many different versions of the exam this year, it could really hit on any topic in the CED. Good luck with your studying!
How important are error bars for graphing?
@@catschmidt9181 You definitely want to include them if there's standard error or SEM in the data table. You could fail to earn points if you draw error bars incorrectly or don't interpret them properly to infer significance in the data.
Based on just looking the 6 FRQ descriptions in the CED (roughly page 204), do you expect cladogram or phylogenic tree problems? I thought problem 5 was going to be cladogram/phylogenic tree but the examples on page 208 for problem 5 was a pedigree. I am guessing problem 6 will likely be a chi square because it talks about using data to evaluate a hypothess but maybe I'm wrong.

I've just realized after 5 minutes of studying that I will just guess and use common sense on the MCQ, and not work on the FRQs. Good luck fellas.
frq is common sense too don't worry
If my calcs are right if you get 100% on the mcq's or even i think 5 questions wrong u can get 0% of frq's and still get a 5. (this is for digital in person is a bit diff)

UPDATE: I PASSED WITH A THREE AYEEEEE
Yikes 😬
glad to see it’s not just me 🙁
Did you pass?
YALL I FINISHED THE EXAM A FEW HRS AGO AND IT WASNT THAT BAD!! Sure it was hella long and I got tired a lot during the mc, but it was fair, and the questions were doable (still very hard, but definitely not impossible). And this is coming from someone who didn’t study until very late in the night before the exam, and didn’t know more than half the material going into the test!!! So good luck to anyone else who has yet to take it, and know it isn’t the worst thing it could’ve been!!
Nice!! What about frq difficulty level, if you don't mind me asking? I'm so scared haha same boat as you, haven't studied very much
Edit: NOT asking for what qs were on it or anything CB says is a no-no, just how hard u thought the frq half was?
i wanna know too ^^^
@@sapphirethesavage5734 for the frq, look at past frqs and answer them on a google doc or somethin. then write down any corrections, tips, etc in red to know what not to make a mistake on, for the test (there are answers to past frqs). I take my exam tmrw tho
@@shmrnt5996 Thank you :))
@@sapphirethesavage5734 I thought the majority of them were fair bc we were given a lot of bkg info and data for them, but it was a l o t of reading so it def tires u out, so it's rly just a matter of stamina and being able to not waste time w them, and there were just plain hard parts here and there but I just sucked it up and put whatever bc I knew I couldn't waste my time on stuff I probably wouldn't get right anyways
good luck fellow procrastinator !!!! :)))

to be fair my teacher gave us useless labs and case studies and stimulations that barely made sense and only gave us the bare minimum of resources asahksdjas. gotta love virtual

@Juan Perez did you take it online, if so maybe that's why. paper was way too easy. i was surprised

I think I’m well prepared I’ve studied my soul out and big thanks to my extremely strict but amazing teacher whom if it wasn’t for her, this wouldn’t even be an actual class. Her strictness pays off while taking exams. Mine is in 4 hours, WE GOT THIS!

I am so glad you have made all of this for all of the students who will sit for this exam - it has gotten so much more difficult than how it was long ago. I passed the AP Biology exam in 2005 with a 3 without taking the AP Biology course in high school, and I only studied for three weeks.

I feel like when I do practice questions, I have the right answer but the longer I look at it the more I over think and then I change it and get it wrong! Do you have any tips for that, and do you think that with the time limit I won't have much time to over think things? Thank you so much for making this content!
Yes - this is actually a common problem with test-taking. Statistically, you are more likely to get the right answer with your first or gut response. If you change you answer you need to be 100% sure you made a mistake. So, stick with your first choice in most cases, then just move ahead. Good luck!

same!! good luck homie, you will do well!! make sure you get lots of sleep and eat the best breakfast you can😁😁
This was recommended now
The fact that the test is in like 2 hours and I still know nothing 😩
i took it 3 days ago and it's really easy don't worry. i was surprised at the frq because it was easier than previous years' frqs. nothing went too much in detail just know the basics. i studied for 2 days and was fine. if you have any questions as to what was on the test let me know.
How do you recommend studying?
@@Richguy12349 Honestly just go over the main stuff from each unit. Don't worry about too much in depth stuff. For example like cell respiration all you need to know are the products and reactants and know that oxygen is used in oxidative phosphorylation (electron transport chain and flow of H+ happens in mitochondria). Thing like ecology and natural selection are purely common sense. If the predators go up, the prey go down, easy. That's really it.
my exam is in 3 days and i just started studying😭😭please do u have any tips that would help me at least get a 4
@@redroses9640 I mainly just reviewed all my notes and try to watch videos on each topic. Also try to do previous exams those help pretty well.

How in depth does the AP Bio go into stuff like photosynthesis, cellular respiration, cell cycle. Could I get away with just knowing like for example:
For photosynthesis, 6 H20 and 6CO2 and light get absorbed by the chlorplast/chlorophyll in photosystem 2/1When absorbed, they excite electrons, which cause the electrons to form an ETC, and then etc
I know I didn’t give the full process of photosynthesis, but you get what I mean. Do I have to essentially know every single little step or just a decent understanding of how it works
Great question. This video goes into the details that you need to know about respiration: ruclips.net/video/EEpGILgfxus/видео.html And this one does the same for photosynthesis ruclips.net/video/eFyc3kXmJ30/видео.html
I’ve taken various practice exams from the 2013 and 2020 test for the test this year and I often see them going as in depth as to asking you to explain some of the key enzymes and mechanisms needed for photosynthesis and cellular respiration, the specific electron acceptors, and the ATP production methods. In order to receive a 4 or 5, you will definitely need to know the the ins and outs of the processes.
@@TR-qn7kv Yes, but remember they updated the course content in 2020 so some specifics in previous practice exams aren't included any more. For example, you'll definitely need know about the photosystems in the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis, and how the energy captured in the light reactions is transferred to ATP and NADPH...but you won't need to know the steps of the Calvin cycle. My sketch notes videos for cellular respiration (ruclips.net/video/EEpGILgfxus/видео.html) and photosynthesis (ruclips.net/video/eFyc3kXmJ30/видео.html) go into the exact details needed for the exam. Thanks for watching!
