This one is about a man unhinged; like a mass shooter : “I’m a pool keeper’s son, I don’t want to shoot no one”... “Got a case of dyno-mite, I could hole out here all night”. Who the hell writes that? Steely Dan, that’s who! 🤣🤣🤣

My all-time fave band. Their catalog is so eclectic and the guitar solos are everything.

@@TheLiveTestShow just checked, no dislikes on this one. If you didn't like this song there would definitely be something wrong with you 😏 The 70's, what a decade for music! You had great bands from USA and UK, album after album of great music, Steely Dan, Little Feat, the Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Allman Brother's, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues Wishbone Ash, Genesis, Be Bop Deluxe, Roxy Music, the list goes on and on. I was like a kid in a sweet shop at that time, I'm pleased to say I've still got nearly all those albums (on vinyl) and enjoying them even more in these lockdown days. Probably not everyone would agree with me when it comes to Steely Dan albums, but my favourite is Pretzel Logic, a lot go for Aja, I've loved PL since l bought it, Through with Buzz, Parkers Band, With a Gun, title track, Barrytown, all great songs. Anyway I've gone on a bit, take care and keep enjoying the music!

@@greenhometony I've bought hundreds of albums over the last 50 years or so, if I could only keep ten, Pretzel Logic would be one of the ten I'd choose. Some albums just seem to have a special quality to them which is difficult to explain, Madman Across the Water, Wish You Were Here, Crime of the Century and Foxtrot are a few others. There are a few more, but you probably get the gist of what l mean. My favourite track on PL is With a Gun, again it's difficult to explain why, but that song just has 'it' for me.
Of all the songs you could do by Steely Dan, this is one of my three favorite ones. Once you have done this, Kid Charlemagne, and Haitian Divorce, that's my Steely Dan Hat Trick. There are many many good songs from them, these three encapsulate everything I love about them. Larry Carlton's guitar work on Kid Charlemagne is legendary. Keep it up, Teez.

Love this album, they were back to business as usual with this one! Stronger than previous album Katy Lied. Every track on The Royal Scam a winner, title track, Everything You Did, The Fez, Sign in Stranger, fantastic!

This is one of those true stories. A young man blew up a building and accedently killed a "Luckless pedestrian." The kids father was a "bookepper" for the Mob .The case of dynamite was to keep police at bay. The kid was arrested the next day. (wanna go home to Daddy).Not.
