Yard sales. Our vacation site is about 3 hours from home so my family loves to go to yard sales. I see what is around the area to photograph. I also make sure that I have one or two cameras for the family to use. Last year, I ended up culling through 5,000 photos. :p Because I make sure to carry some gear with me I have shots of a horse race, macro shots of creatures that live in the forest, tide pools, flowers, and elk along the coast. What has been really difficult to get is a sunset on the coast - for the past two years and close to five weeks of time spent on the coast, only one good evening for a good sunset. To compensate, I switch to monochrome images to help bring out the mood of the coast. This year I will be trying something new since I do normally get blue skies and some clouds in the afternoon - infrared and faux color near infrared. :)

so sunrise and sunset ? any good rules for this ? i've not really done much of that, i'm assuming use LIVEVIEW only OR sunglasses if using the regular view finder ?
